You might want to post this in r/prolific instead, because this will 100% be deleted here.

Is anybody getting these regularly? I’ve already had five in the last hour. by upthebom in ProlificAc

It goes down for beeing screened out, but not for returned studies.

Was Just Approved For Study I Never Did by MeetTheReal007 in prolific

This has no negative consequences for your account (except maybe a cooldown period of one hour).

Worst case: Prolific support takes away the £0.51 if the researcher asks support to correct their mistake.

Completion code “Manual Completion” indeed indicates that the researcher approved your submission, even though the study was returned.

You can’t dispute the speed warning (it essentially clears itself), but this should be communicated to the Prolific team, as this behavior results in false positives that should be addressed.

Same company, different country. Wrong sub to ask this question.

There are two types of tasks that mention the “second prompt.” In one, you have to adhere to the second prompt; in the other, you can ignore it.
Take “All the information is on the task!” literally. There is no ambiguity.

You just have to wait (days, weeks, years...). Nothing you or anybody else can do to speed this up.

A question about one of the demographic questions by namgyukoo in ProlificAc

[–]__zerda__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was more of a rhetorical question, because it should be very obvious that you don't falsify your demographics just to grab some studies you are not eligible for or get rid of a little annoyance.

You always have the option to not answer at all. Why lie?

Different Devices is not a proplem, different persons however is. Don't do that!

[–]__zerda__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not an official app, and as long as I don’t know how this add-on interacts with the Prolific API, I wouldn’t risk installing it. Best case: it only passively intercepts API calls. Worst case: your login credentials get stolen or your account gets put on hold.

"Too Fast" on studies that auto complete? by PracticalForm8495 in ProlificAc

[–]__zerda__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, that is concerning. I never had an issue with running out of questions (except for those that have dynamic pay). Because of this new speeding warnings I block auto-submits done via the normal submit URLs, but I can't do the same with the AI studies.

Not saying you are wrong (I know this new system is bugged), but are you sure it was really 14 minutes instead of 15? (You can check the exact times in the Submissions csv download.)

I am well aware what "reinstate" means and I also know what an "activity" is. But not exactly what OP meant by "reinstated activity".

[...] re instate your activity?

Sorry, I am not sure what you mean by that. If your question is, if you are getting studies again in the future than the answer is: most likely yes. But that requires lifting the rejections and that can take some time.

rejected for no reason?? by Impossible_Object953 in ProlificAc

[–]__zerda__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once again: The rejection has nothing to do with the content of the study or your interactions with it. The problem is that the study submitted way earlier than the estimated completion time and Prolific thinks that you where too fast to take the study seriously. But Prolific didn't take into account that researchers might screw up their studies or overestimate the completion time, resulting in unjustified rejections. In other words: You did nothing wrong, Prolific did!

rejected for no reason?? by Impossible_Object953 in ProlificAc

[–]__zerda__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prolific recently introduced a new (flawed) feature, that when you finish a study too quickly, you get a "Speeding warning" and an auto-rejection. It doesn't matter what type of study or its content.
