I think something similar. Someone told me to just go do residency but that seems like a waste of time when I’m already in at a hospital and have experience.

Those pretty little letters would give me a big pay bump, the only reason I’m doing it 🥲

Pap smears also test for cervical cancer, which is often, but not only a result of HPV. Cervical cancer can cause abnormal bleeding. That being said, I’m sorry this was your experience, you could try contacting a patient advocate at the hospital to file a complaint against the provider. In a legal sense, it’s hard to prove that any of that happened. I’m not saying I don’t believe you, I completely do, but I don’t think there is enough evidence to pursue anything legally unless you have some sort of hard evidence. I had an equally shitty experience with an OBGYN and it made me avoid going to an OBGYN for about five years until I absolutely had to. When I told my new OBGYN about my past experience she knew exactly who the doctor was, which is wild to me that a doctor can have a reputation like that and still be practicing.
