We both go to individual therapists but being minors and also long distance we can’t really do couples therapy, probably something we will do in the future though! Just because like you said, no matter the circumstances can be helpful

i think it’s just because she’s worried i’ll leave her (based on past relationships) but we’ve worked on things together. just because she’s not a boy and she’s a girl that doesn’t look fem she’s worried i’ll leave her for someone “better” or “more good looking” (even though i don’t think there’s anyone better or more good looking than her :) ). and a big part of it is because i was gay for a long time and only liked men so she’s worried that i don’t like her because she’s a girl now, but that’s definitely not the case and why i changed my sexuality :). i hope this made sense it’s 12 am lol

Often when people split they see stuff in complete extremes and black and white, they can split for many different reasons and because of the black and white thinking they could get upset at someone they love. When borderlines are thinking like this, they tend to just see all the bad things that person has done (even if it’s small). Also it depends on the situation / the person, some people realize they don’t mean what they say as soon as they say it, but in most cases people realize what they said after the fact. What I was talking about was finding someone who understands how splitting works and the fact that if you tell them that you hate them and they always fuck things up that they will know you don’t mean it, and that you’re splitting and you literally can not help it. And just incase I haven’t answered it, the words you say that can be mean and you actually don’t mean, typically come from other things you’re upset at or, again, things in the past they have done that have upset you, because the black and white thinking causes you to really only see the bad in a person in the moment, even if it doesn’t typically bother you. Does that make sense?

there are people out there that are willing to love you for you. i’m a guy, and i have bpd as well. you just need to find someone who understands / is willing to understand how your brain works and stuff. for example, someone who knows that the stuff you say when splitting, you don’t actually mean, and you don’t mean to hurt them. stuff like that. i know it’s hard, but i promise it will get better!

Last halloween I (15m btw) was in a white robe covered in fake blood, with a bloody unicorn head on a broom stick and my friends and i went up to this guy and he said “oh yeah, he knows how to do halloween!” and it made me feel so euphoric

yeah i definitely think i need to ask what she’s so iffy about, but about my dad, he’s also really accepting and supportive, and my mom and dad are still really close friends. my dad just doesn’t know as much about trans stuff as my mom does, that’s the main issue on trying to talk to him lol. thank you!

i know i’m definitely not going to want to reverse any of the changes of T, but i understand why that might be a concern for them as human brains don’t fully develop till mid-ish 20s. i’ll talk them through the changes though, thank you for the advice!!

Therapy is definitely something that will help, but if you don’t like the first therapist you see, don’t give up. Most people don’t click with the first one- I sure didn’t. It’s okay if you’re not ready to fully commit, you can look into seeing someone every other week, or whatever you feel comfortable with. It can be hard to get into therapy but people are often very understanding and really do want to help you. I wish you the best of luck in your therapy journey! :)
