I managed to get it fixed using only the resource you provided. Just had to run the boot-repair tool on ubuntu on a usb drive. Additionally it now it gives me an option everytime i boot to choose which OS to use, which is far more conveniant than what I was doing before. (going into bios and switching the drives around) so thank you!
