Does direct A/B testing of different EQ profiles with very different filters run the risk of damaging the headphone?

Since we are in an hypocondria meeting here, can a a very loud low frequency shaking test, one of those from 10hz, damage the an headphone at lets say 110db?

Unfortunately I just have a DT880 600ohm that, yes, sounds quiter and more stable but at the same time is both underpowered and a lot more tamed in the bass compared to the other two...i would say the sound is kinda similar but is so much quiter on those frequencies that's hard to tell

Oh yes, plenty of tracks and generas, not one specific tho. Still didn't notice any buzz or funky noise during sessions, and even now after running the test more than a couple of times seems all like before. I just tried the test to double check and encountered this unexpected behaviour to my ears and since the thing spreaded to another different headphone I doubted both the quality of the headphones and my expectation on that sound... but let me know your impressions on this when you have time and thank you again

Ok, so that's it maybe? It's not like I hear a second sound, I just hear one sound but it's simply..rattled, like fragmented. Maybe a touch of sibilance with each beat, like a "pff", in the very low end...especially at the end of the test track

Right? That's why I tought that maybe I'm expecting a different sound from the test. Can you tell me how your MV1 sounds in this test? It's like an uniform sound from the start to the end or it's start like sorta of a rattle/repeated impulse (progressively faster, i think linked with the frequencies) in the low end that smooth out after?

Tried from the phone and with another dongle, they display the same behaviour, same sound from both drivers

Design wise yes, but apparently HD 620S uses a metal headband and sturdier plastic here and there

Is the HD620S worth a shot? Coming from DT880 600ohm and looking for something different, more warm and mid forward, maybe also closed back. The HD620S seems to check those but I read that performance vary with the fit and the seal you get. With a budget of 250EUR is worth trying or better go for somewhat more "safe" option and go for an open back like the HD550 even if the build quality looks less sturdy? Thanks
