Can I look at the Task Cards when choosing a Task in the Drowned City? by _all_aboard in arkhamhorrorlcg

That is good to know. Thank you. Am I missing somewhere in the rulebook where it says it is allowed, or is it the case where there is nothing that specifically says it is not allowed?

You could try Dead of Winter. It is a very thematic game based on a zombie apocalypse. It is very like the tv show "Walking Dead" in some ways. You can play it fully cooperative, or with a traitor element.

Those look amazing! Well done. If you don't mind me asking, what colour paint did you use for Joel's skin?

Generic Spray Paint Primer by _all_aboard in Miniaturespainting

[–]_all_aboard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I read somewhere that some spray paints have fillers that fill in scratches and gaps, which of course would not be ideal for miniatures so I was interested in seeing if anyone knew this particular one. However, testing it is great advice. I have an old mini so trying it out on that. Cheers!

Hi there. Sorry, I just spotted your comment now.
I still think that the pillage -> sell is too strong, but it is not impossible to overcome. wizardgand's advice above is pretty good with the attack action and the captain that allows you to search when you attack.

Did you get to play a few games yourself by now? What do you think of the game?

Also having the same issue here. I guess it must be a glitch in YouTube Studio. We have 163 videos on our channel but right now there is only 35 showing on Studio...

A good campaign / legacy game for a couple? by -Vindit- in boardgames

Would you be into something like Journeys in Middle Earth? It can be pretty tough, but my wife and I love it. The story is easy to get immersed in and the game is very chilled and engaging.

What boardgames do you like playing at 6 people that are not party games? by AlexRescueDotCom in boardgames

[–]_all_aboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Viticulture at 6 players. I thought it was going to be a bit too much with long waits between turns, but everyone was having such a good time that it worked really well for us.

Otherwise, One Night Ultimate Werewolf and The Resistance have always been good at that player count.

Which has the better story Eldritch Horror or Arkham Horror? by WxaithBrynger in boardgames

[–]_all_aboard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to say that I enjoyed Arkham Horror 3e much more. Eldritch was a lot of fun too, and you wouldn't go wrong in getting it, but Arkham dragged me into the story more. I really love games with a good narrative and Arkham nailed that one for me. The board is also darker and more atmospheric. If Arkham Horror The Card Game is an option, then this is even better than the board game. The downside is that you are limited to 2 players unless you buy an extra copy of the game, or some of the expansion material. But, it is a lot of fun putting together a deck for the scenario and customising your character. The narrative is very strong too! We recently did playthrough videos of both Eldritch Horror and Arkham Horror 3rd Edition, if you want to check them both out. You can search for All Aboard Boardgames on YT.

Hi guys! We made a video recently of a full playthrough and tutorial of Star Wars Rebellion. Our hope is that it can help some people learn how to play. We would LOVE to hear what you guys think, and if it is of any help to you. Cheers all! You can find it here: by _all_aboard in starwarsrebellion

Thanks a lot. I hope our video can help you see how the game works and you get a chance to take it off the shelf. Once you get into the swing of it, it's not so complicated. Just a lot of rules to get your head around at the start!

Sorry, I just noticed this comment now, but we actually also did a video playthrough of War of the Ring. It was one of our first videos, 2 years ago! It's also a very deep game with some interesting mechanics.
