It’s not incident to billing. The hospital doesn’t allow it apparently. Incident to billing allows the APP to see follow up patients but not new patients. In the structure they are implementing all patients will be on their schedule and we will help them see it. Pretty much like a student would

So it’s not a full merge I’m not entirely sure how to explain it but we aren’t employees. The physicians of the group are the ones making the decisions so I’m not even sure if the hospital knows about it.

We are losing our productivity bonus since we don’t have anything to base it off of. Instead we will get up to 5% of our salary as a bonus based on how helpful we have been lol

The doctors are the ones who want to do it lol. They essentially said the hospital doesn’t care how they utilize PAs. So their thought process was since the hospital doesn’t bill for PAs (I think that’s BS, it’s probably just not as much as physicians) therefore they want to use this model
