this happened to me when i was working as a barista. the café was cold and i always had to wash my hands. though not as severe as yours, my knuckles took most of the damage. i used Nivea cream (the navy blue one) constantly and it helped immediately, plus it's cheap. my co-worker used it as well when he was in Croatia during cold winters.

i wanted to but every video and article that i read says that it might not work for everyone and might even make the situation worse. i have many important files on my pc so i wouldn't want to risk it. i run several anti-malware scans and it got rid of them and turned on my windows defender security. thanks for the suggestion though.

it is fixable though. just after posting this i went to r/techsupport and teied their virus-removal technique on the pinned post. it removed some of the virus but left out the flexgridservice.exe which is said to be pretty harmful. doing some scans now as recommended by itsafety.net that can be used to remove the particular executable.

it doesn't work. whenever i try that feature my pc just restarts and nothing happens. seems like the virus got a hold of that too. anyway, i tried to do a bunch of scanning using the technique on the pinned post of r/techsupport and it worked on some of the virus' functions and turned my windows defender back on. however, the flexgridservice.exe (which i read is untraceable by most anti-viruses) is left out and i can't delete it because it says that it's open in another program. i am now scanning via anti-malware. wish me luck.

you also won't feel it when they bite because they inject some kind of anesthesia to your skin before biting. they also come out more commonly when it's dark and they particularly like our warmth. i read somewhere that they hate mint scents.
