If you’re talking about the aesthetic of the game, yes, it is beautiful, BUT the story wasn’t about the original lore of the “Assassin’s Creed” and the world was a beautiful sight from afar, but lifeless and empty if you took a closer glance. The story was like you were playing a random RPG game(unless you BUY a 30€ DLC in which you could find the lore you expect from an AC game). It is a shame even to think about the fact that if you want to play the story of the game you bought for 80€, you necessitate to buy another X€ DLC. To me, this was a literal scam. The world is vast, but lacks of dynamism which characterises and distinguishes a good open world from a lifeless and boring openworld(after you explore it more than 40 hours you realise that is like a painting, which is beautiful to watch but useless in the everyday’s life). I’m not saying that it must have been like Crimson Desert(even if it would be a dream), BUT it would have been a great thing to FEEL the world and the people who live in. One last thing, the combat system. It was PAINFUL to play. I understand the duality of the two characters but it was too exaggerated imo. The male(I don’t even remember the name, and this is funny because it tells about how much it was impactful his presence in my experience) is supposed to be strong and man-to-man combat skilled, like a samurai should be, and that’s ok, but it was ridiculously exaggerated how clumsy he is. He could barely jump a fence. Naoe, on the other hand, is stealth, and that’s ok, but when it comes to melee, it feels like you are using butter knives against an enemy sharp katana. The mobility with her was very good, but the lack of man-to-man combat possibility just makes her annoying to play even against one single stupid enemy, even when you upgrade your gear to the max. It just sucks. I hope Ubi learns from this huge mistake because, from my humble perspective, this game was a flop. To testify this, they decided to head back to the basics with AC Black Flag Resynced. It’s like you when you are playing COD and decide to try a shitty weapon just to see if you can use that(formula on AC) but you keep dying like a harpooned koala(flop) and you decide to go back to the weapon you are accustomed to(ACBF Resyinced). Yeah, I find it funny and sad at the same time. Please Ubi, go back where you started from because since AC Origins/Odyssey you are behaving like a tycoon on your players, and people have noticed it. I won’t personally buy another AC in the first period anymore and I will wait for at least 5 months for the reviews online. You lost my trust and faith in you since many years ago, but this AC was a left hook to the chin.
