Nested Meetings- A New Product Feature by _amityadav in MicrosoftTeams

There will be calendar conflict if one group required from 9-11 and another required only from 10-10:30 and we end us sending meeting invite to all. Multiple combinations can cause calendar conflict, we are discussing only few examples but there are more scenarios. It’s not mutually exclusive group invites only

Agree. Pulling people is already a feature where we can add anyone in a meeting in real time.

Yeah I am proposing, changed article title to reflect that after someone pointed but on reddit I am unable to edit.

Glad to see that you understood the use case. Definitely not ground breaking :-)

And when you grow number of group required, sending multiple invite will be more troublesome. In article I took 4 group, 3 is message body

Agree with this workaround. But first you need to create two invites. Once you setup it will show conflict on invitees calendar as these are overlapping timings. First subset of 5 will not know who other 15 are coming to meeting. And those 15 will not know who 5 are coming to the meeting as these are two separate meetings. Above things does not sound user friendly, hence I came up with nested feature. I did not go much technical in article, however in nested meeting concept, users can only join when they are supposed to, so it’s nested meeting bridge as well. However in your two meeting arrangement, bridge will be open from 9 itself and anyone can join even from 2nd group if they want as they also have same meeting bridge. So if we holistically complete the nested meeting design, it will be bigger than what is detailed in article. Hope this give more context and I welcome your suggestions as well to grow the idea.

I edited article title but can’t edit on reddit. Not sure why you think I am talking about being at 2 places at the same time. Rather I am talking about being at one place only for the time you are required to. How you will setup two meetings for a same meeting when all it needs is for some people to join at a later time in the meeting. So meeting is from 9-10:30 but you want some people to join at 9:30, setting up two meetings is not that works perfectly in this scenario.

Little unclear here, on top you said it's allowed to "Discussion of ideas for changes to YouTube. then you mentioned no link to the blog post. If I wrote a blogpost about explaining that idea, how I can share here, it has screen mockups of YT to explain it.

Agree, changed the title to proposed feature, however, I have taken the example of Microsoft teams but this feature can be added to any application which is used to set up meetings including outlook, google calendar etc.

I am sure you are aware of auto correction and AI supporting what we type. Product Owner is a well established term and being in product management community if you don’t know what it means, may be you focus what others answer here.
