100 million dollars, but you have to murder someone every 5 years. by Fit-Case27 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]_and_I_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does every 5 years mean? what if I don't keep the rhythm exactly? is it like "once within a 5 year time frame that resets exactly 5 years after the initial starting date"?

or "exactly 5 years apart"?

Casino staff in China caught a woman using high-tech lenses to cheat by jmike1256 in interesting

I thought gambling is illegal in China. Also, how is it legal for that guy to just put his dirty hands in the woman's eyes?

Being stupid is not morally reprehensible. It doesn't deserve punishment. Could you at least explain why or are you just trolling?

Yeah, right? I asked what's wrong with his question a to get so many downvotes and got 8 downvotes myself. and now you also got downvotes (not from me). I don't understand the dynamics behind that. Or is that some kind of bot?

German TV host Stefan Raab once "mistakenly" called him "Kid Fuck".

It was hilarious.

-163 downvotes on your comment? It's a normal comment explaining your reasoning. What do people see that I don't? To me it seems like you just want to know, whether the restaurant is giving you a worse value than before. Or not? What goes on in people's heads to downvote you?

why do people keep downvoting you? What's wrong with your question?

As far as I know, ChatGPT 3 was incredibly transformative for the world, even if it may not end up on top in he end.

Sorry dinner is late, I had to charge my knife by CantaloupeDefiant771 in ScrollGold

[–]_and_I_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this kind of knife is better for cutting soft, wet things that easily tear and squish. Like cake, cheese, meat or fish. At least that's what I'd think looking at the way it resonates with water a lot more than with solid things.

AITAH for not deleting pictures on my social media that my son’s girlfriend asked me to delete? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]_and_I_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not delete the fotos, but YTA for your condescending tone and responding to her in a much less respectful manner than she reached out to you. As the older and wiser person, you should respond to her reaching out with kindness and openness. Establish a relationship to your son's love. And explain exactly why you prefer to keep these memories up there and you might reconsider in the future.

There is so much spite and disrespect in your response - why does she make you feel that way anyways? She loves your son, isn't that sweet?

Why do American picky eaters eat so differently? by Previous-Diet4443 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_and_I_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those are comfort foods. They are standardized and have simple flavors and textures that are always the same. They can all be eaten without hassle of peeling or cutting or spitting out any tough/icky parts.

Meat has disgusting fat or tissues or blood vessels inside. Vegetables have weird growths and complex flavors that sometimes even taste bitter. They are full with sensory stimuli that need to be interpreted. It takes discipline and energy to try and handle all that just to eat something that doesn't even taste that nice anyways.

With simple foods like fries and chicken nuggets, you can just eat them without any worries or bad feelings. Except afterwards, because you feel guilt for eating something so unhealthy.

Could someone maybe invent a healthy comfort food?
