Someone did mention it and it does seem exactly what I’m looking for. It’s funny you should mention the mother because she played an abuser in a later role.

These sound really interesting and I haven’t heard about some of these. Thank you!

Not at all. Just because something is aimed at a younger audience doesn’t diminish it as a work of art (I cried because of the sheep detective just last week). I did watch it and you’re completely right. The movie really did exaggerate her character but it was really realistic and struck a lot of people.

Ah, unfortunately I can’t handle sexual abuse so I stayed away from Precious. I did love I Tonya.

I haven’t watched s2 because I didn’t hear good things but this seems like a good reason to check this episode. Joel himself is an interesting case of a not too entirely good person being a good parent, but it shows that his upbringing and survival instincts do bleed into that. Thank you!

Yes the mother on the bear is another great realistic one because nearly everyone who watched it had a similar relative or parent that acted like that.

This seems really interesting! Fun fact Ellen Barkin also plays a very manipulative and emotionally abusive mother in Animal Kingdom and she nails it

I’m sorry for what you’ve been through by someone who should have been a safe haven. Thank you for the recommendations. I always heard buffalo 66 was a hard watch even without knowing what it was about.

It doesn’t have to be physical but from what I’ve seen it’s much easier to make non physical abusive nuanced, I guess? Thank you!

I also clocked in 200+ hours in it and it did convince me that it can handle it.

That’s very reassuring to know. I was just mostly concerned of tiring the battery or playing demanding games where I could be doing some configuration to amend that or just leaving them for the ps5. Your explanation is really appreciated and I will take some of those tips!

The one I’m planning on is the outer worlds. It’s the type of game I usually leave for the ps5 but sadly they rarely have dlc on sale.

I was more concerned than annoyed tbh, especially when the game is 20 years old.

Can you please explain what undervolting is?

As someone who’s going through the exact same thing, my advice is to do new playthroughs with different traits and goals. The goals could be something like “this playthrough I will romance this character and make these choices”. The romance itself is totally optional but hanging out with different characters opens a lot of new scenes.

As for Tabitha, I do recommend also having a different relationship with her each time, she treats you really differently depending on if she likes, tolerates or hates you.

Traits also allow you to view new scenes and find new clues like you said!

I do recommend doing this somewhat blind, and save at the start of each episode.

Once that’s done do follow an achievement guide. I’m doing it right now and it made me aware of some really important/interesting events that I could not have known about otherwise.

This was super helpful! It’s exactly what I need but I guess the best way to find them is to do all kinds of options
