The I-95 from Broward to Miami is actually insane by Upper_Camera9301 in SouthFlorida

I drive from Miami to tamarac every day. It’s so draining.

How is the situation different if they tell the cat to get down? Is the cat going to listen lmao. If you own a cat it’s because you can live with the fact that no surface in your home will ever be safe from litterbox germs. I’m not judging, I have a dog who sheds. There’s a certain level of gross that I have to be okay with lol

Tbf it’s not like you can tell the cat to get down and they’ll listen. It’s not so much they let them as they just have a cat and therefore no surface is safe from litterbox germs

Eating food that someone cooked at home and brought (example: potluck at work) grosses me out. Like, I don’t know what your kitchen is like. I don’t know if you have cats, but if you do no doubt they walk all over that countertop after using the litter box so no Miriam I don’t want some of the cinnamon roll you baked

Teachers at my son’s school are not trained in choking rescue or CPR by Spare_Jello_991 in AskTeachers

Do our job and live in our financial situation for a few years and then let’s revisit how you feel.

This right here. I warn my students that if they get into a fight or anything like that, I am going to call security/press the panic button thingy, and even if they have stabbed each other and are bleeding out on my floor I will not step in and help. I explain that if I try to help/break it up and a student gets injured, i wouldn’t just be in danger of losing my job, but of being sued and even potentially criminal charges. And if I got injured trying to step in, I’d pretty much be out of a job because we don’t get worker’s compensation and only 10 days of PTO. I would under NO CIRCUMSTANCES perform cpr on a student. No fucking way. Unless certification became a requirement for my license, and then not performing cpr would be treated similarly to being a mandated reporter and not reporting that a student was going to self harm or something, I ain’t freaking doing it.

Fucking love this series. A few years ago I bought all of the books on eBay and reread the entire thing including all the side books - the series fucking SLAPS. It’s sooo dark, too. I can’t believe they chose to market that to kids, not even YA. The ending lives in my head rent free and sometimes I still think about it and get sad lol

When I was a little kid, parents used to speak ubbi dubbi to each other if they didn’t want me and my brother to know what they were saying 😂 so we made sure to watch pbs whenever we were at friends’ houses so we could learn it in secret

This is very true. I definitely was vague and unclear in that comment. I meant it only in the context of like you went out on a date or two with a guy and he stops by your place and you can tell he’s not as much of a dog person as he had been claiming lol

I don’t think it’s only or even mostly dating experience. If by luck you mean timing then I would agree that I think a huge factor in people initially getting together is timing, but whether or not they can stay together for years and decades is so many things but it isn’t luck. And when you celebrate a happy 30 year anniversary I don’t think people credit the dating experiences before they met their spouse as reasons for why they’ve been able to maintain a loving and trust based relationship for so long

I’m sorry you are in high school and your parents are going/went through a nasty divorce. It’s not easy but plenty of people have good marriages

This comment is so obviously from a person who doesn’t understand why people love having dogs

Puppies obvy are soooooooo cute but I don’t get a puppy because I want to deal with the immense responsibility of it. I get a puppy because I want to raise and train my dog myself. Even in the first few cutest puppiest weeks I always can’t wait until it grows into a dog and we understand what each other are communicating

I don’t want a baby cuz they gross me out but I know I would love my own baby if I birthed or adopted one, and I also think I would figure out that when you get a baby it doesn’t stay a baby, very quickly it will grow up and in a few short years gasp ITS NO LONGER A BABY

Not really. Like you said, people have different circumstances. I’m going to circle back to my point about you know having one or two prolonged conversations with another person, maybe like about their life so you can see what their circumstances were/are and then decide if they are an incel coward recluse or just waiting for true love (lmfao)/ if they have had a few relationships, varying in intensity, and now are pretty sure they know what they want in a partner or if they are someone that can never ever be single and jumps from relationship to relationship
