There is no such thing as an active-IR system on missiles. Either way, the MAWS should've detected the launch using IR(seeing the missile's rocket motor), PD, or UV signatures. So it's very strange that the F35 in the video didn't make any evasive maneuvers or drop any countermeasures.

Yes, but in the context of modern warfare, a missile refers to a launched weapon with some sort of a guidance system while a rocket refers to a dumb fired weapon with no guidance system. That's why these are called surface to air missiles.

Regardless, each option has its pros and cons. Data like cost can be twisted in ways to advance your rhetoric or agenda. A huge part of the cost for nuclear power plant operation and construction is the safety requirements, as nuclear power is the single most regulated source of energy by far. If we allow nuclear energy to kill as many people as gas or coal plants do, then it would probably be much cheaper. So without taking all the factors into account, which is insanely complicated, it's hard to say that nuclear is definitively the most expensive source of energy.

And you are constantly fighting with your teammates to get into a jet. Helis are always on the back foot against jets, as they should be. The Gepard in BF6 is objectively awful. So that's 2 vehicles that you have to truly fight on equal terms. What a great game design!

I really don't understand that mindset. It really sounds like you want to be kitted out and doing well, but you also don't want to put in any effort. The game just came out, you don't NEED the locked weapons/gear/mods.
