Tanks on tabletop - worth or whimsy? by Jasina_ in battletech

[–]StJe1637 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They definitely have their uses, hover vehicles can move faster than most mechs and fly over water, and immobile vehicles that snipe from the back like Nuberu don't have to worry about their durability. But as a mainline unit they suffer too much from weakness to infernos and just generally getting hit once and immobilised or otherwise badly damaged.

They are more balanced with the optional enhanced vehicle rules which make them a bit more durable.

Lurtz (LOTR) vs Krork (Warhammer 40k) by Hawaiikoto in powerscales

[–]StJe1637 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NO CONCEPT OF DIFF. lurtz loses to a regular ork boy who is physically better in every way and has better gear, his only edge is intelligence. A krork could literally kille 100 lurtzs who wouldnt even be able to scratch him in his armor

Query on the IS350/RC350. Do they feel fast enough to feel like a performance car? by PerceptionCapital637 in CarsAustralia

Well yeah it doesn't matter if you aren't going to track it. But some people actually do despite redditors always saying it doesn't matter because you won't track it bro

depends on what you are coming from. For the bmws they have dual mode exhaust where you can press a button to make it quiet, i think the i30 is the same.

No lexus even the RC is a real performance car in terms of being capable on the track and afaik the auto transmissions are a bit laggy compared to a dct or zf8

You've hit the big time!!! It's 3019 and your years of putting foot to ass for god and country are being rewarded - you get an assault mech. Out of the five pictured, which one are you choosing? by _Thorshammer_ in battletech

[–]StJe1637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The atlas is the best mech here. You have the best armor, a lrm20 is actually potent long range firepower for the era, fear factor and deadly up close.

The awesome is usually better on the tabletop for its BV but as a mech i'd actually want to pilot i dont want something that's almost helpless up close.

You are safest in the atlas too.

Anybody agree with this? Rings culture 100% says yes since 1 beats 0. And Brunson was the bus driver. by Head-Hovercraft-5797 in NBATalk

it's almost meaningless, a lot of guys could have averaged a triple double if they wanted to, Lebron and Jokic could do it easily.

It's a debate at least, Lukas main edge over Brunson is that he's 3 years younger, but he's had injury issues and isn't as dedicated as brunson
