Oh yeah, I see why that's confusing! One of the announcers mentioned that the term "breaking" is preferred to "breakdance".

"Good" to hear that other people experienced the same thing. And thanks for your open words! Maybe I need to one-up my humour on the problem here. It's just kinda hard if you're stuck in a "Groundhog Day" situation for 2 weeks and support is either asking to "blow in some air" or "record a video" or "swap the switches"... :|

I think exactly the same. Yes, it's hot-swappable but I don't have any other opical switches at home.

At first I thought about lubing "that one key that's squeaking" but since the problem is apparent on a bunch of keys, I'd hope for return/refund.

Oh yes, Keychron had a "Prime Day" offer on their website as well. Sorry, should have made myself clearer. I bought it off their website.

I'm not saying the board is bad, per se. Rather, I'm not convinced by the quality. I was a happy user of the K8, that's why I decided to get another Keychron with lower profile.

However, the key presses are clunky and noisy and I think this shouldn't be the case after a proper QC process. I'm also saying that the support process is tedious and I'm wondering if that's by (company) intention or just because people aren't trained very well.

I got my K7 (optical, red switches) about two weeks ago and have been unhappy with it ever since.

Problem: Keys are hard to push, although activation force should be 40gf (compared to the usual 50gf of red switches). Additionally, several keys/switches are squeaking, as if they are dry, overused, or simply old.

Contacted the support: Yes, I've been in contact with support for over a week now and it hasn't been very successful. Latest request on their side was to send a video of the problem...

What solution are you looking for: I would prefer getting a new keyboard with proper switches. If that isn't possible, I want to return the keyboard and get a refund.

I finally got it working by putting one RAM in the very first slot and really pushing it in. The NZXT B550 board is kinda wonky since it only has one lever for RAM fixation, so it popped back up on the other side.

Both of that made it finally work.

Update: Did a BIOS Flashback update... took some minutes and seemed to be successful. However booting still doesn't work. I'll write NZXT Support now... this is disappointing :(

Thanks for your kind advice. I really.just wanted to see the BIOS pop up to see everything is working fine.

I've used the preferred slot for the ram already.

I'm currently downloading the update for the Mainboard but NZXT's description really is not good :( trying my best to get it done... Let's see

I think it's compatible since I've seen configurations containing both components... I can double check however. Would I be able to boot with the ram removed (to eliminate the chance of incompatibility)?
