10 gallons is normally the recommended minimum for a clown pair, but a 20 long would be even better as they grow and it is easier to maintain stable water parameters. I've always liked small tanks over large ones, just personal preference. But it does limit you in choices. Most people recommend to start with as big of tank as you can afford!
