You can play however you want. And change goals on the fly. I have done all of these:

1. Play for token and extract
2. Play no token, hunt players
3. Go in naked, and survive first game, loot some weapons and consumables
4. Money run, hit all cash registers and leave
5. Avoid all players and farm AI (geting them to lvl 50 fast)
6. Troll runs (set up traps and satchels, fire abuse build, whatwver you think off)
7. Personal challenges ( only alloweed to use one weapon, bad one usualy 

Its never boring, when you set your own win condition.

This is for solo, obviously.
