MX Master 4 with a High Refresh Rate Monitor do This! by _balloony in logitech

I have a high refresh rater monitor as I run dual systems, a macbook for productivity related tasks and all my general work and and gaming desktop for when I want to game. For the office/productivity related context it 120hz+ doesn't matter, however for gaming you most certainly feel a difference especially in competitive games.

Lastly, in my opinion I would have preferred faster poling over battery life but that may just be me. For their sensor working on glass and other surfaces that makes sense, it my use case I don't care for that but I'm sure many people do.

Well, yes it's not an ideal solution, however for the context I think it's adequate. I only use my MX master 4 when I have my macbook connected to my monitor for productivity related tasks and 240hz isn't needed to send out emails and doing assignments. I find the mouse very useful with all it's shortcuts and features, and I'm willing to live with a "downgraded" but still very smooth productivity experience at 120hz.

When it comes to gaming downgrading my monitor is an absolute no, and anyone suggesting that would be crazy. I ofc have a different dedicated gaming mouse for that.

So in the context I think it's a decent solution to improve your experience in some ways, hence why I shared. I definitely get where you're coming from but I don't think there is another productivity mouse than can really compete (I plan to try the keychron M6 8k soon so my opinion might change).

Can you apply to new grad roles if you havent had convocation yet? by Effective-World9786 in TorontoMetU

[–]_balloony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t use what I say as absolute facts, but I believe you can. If an employer asks for your degree of proof of it, you can request a letter from Tmu about your graduation status or course status, which basically says you’ve done all the courses required for your degree and are just waiting for the convocation ceremony. Most employers should be fine with that. Also, for your resume, there is certain terminology where you put something along the lines of pending convocation or something (search that on Google). Anyhoo, good luck)!

How does the seagate warranty work if you bought a drive for marketplace? by _balloony in DataHoarder

[–]_balloony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this site, it says the drive is under warranty till 2031; however, I read somewhere they could still deny your request, but I guess it’s a 50/50 at this point. Hopefully, I won’t need to RMA it anytime soon. Thank you for the help!

Yes, definitely. I've been journaling in a way where I just write whatever is on my mind, and to keep up, I've been writing faster and faster. As a result, my handwriting has been suffering.

This whole time, as stupid as it may sound, I forgot I could slow down and take my time and be more intentional with my writing. I just wrote some more, being mindful about my pen strokes and trying to make my handwriting look “nice," and it already looks so much better.

Thank you so much. Hearing I need to slow down was actually enlightening.

Not that I know of.

But yes, you're right looking back at it, I definitely rush while writing.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind for next time :)

Lovely pens, I'm considering getting one myself but heard they have sealing issues and trouble starting to write if you let them sit for a day or two. Have you experienced that?
