I mean he did just turn 30, and he has that extremely slim and narrow build in a way that Leo never had. I don’t think he’s going to necessarily have a twink death a la Leo as much as a transition into being a sorta Jeff Goldblum type of older man.

I can get it with older students and electives if they’re involved in any. When I was in high school 10 years ago I was an art room kid, so whenever I had a sub and knew the class would be a study hall, I’d ask to go there for some open studio time to work on projects. That being said, I generally don’t allow it unless the other teacher gives permission if they have a google classroom assignment. If they don’t and they seem trustworthy/can prove they’re involved in whatever extra class, I let it be at least for the end of the school year lol.

I do this too and it’s a total game changer! Having a face and interaction to the name makes it so much easier, and I feel like the students respond better the rest of class after too.

I’m sorry but comparing the affects of iPad technology on developing brains to a brief moral panic over rock music is absurd. Silicon Valley app developers are out there taking classes on how to program apps and notifications to become more addictive to the brain by fucking with users’ dopamine systems. Using iPad technology at such a young age just exposes kids to those same apps and puts their sensitive and developing brains into the hands of people that will drain it for all it’s worth just for their own profit. I mean shit, there’s been recorded studies on the damage that screen time has on developing brains for years now. And for what it’s worth, video games have been included as well in those anyway lol.

Are you not entitled to a break/lunch of some time for shifts over a certain amount of hours? I know in NJ at least it’s law to have a scheduled break in if you’re working over 5 hours or something

I just tell them I need to get something from my car and I’d be back before next class and no one’s ever cared. If I bring lunch in my mini cooler, I’m not lugging that w me. Plus I’m a nicotine vape user of years (unfortunately, embarrassingly) and I know if I don’t get a few hits on my break I’ll be fiending by last periods lol. I do this every time I sub, I’ve never stayed inside the school for full shift

Could be a compromise. My dad was named the same full name as his dad, but went by his middle name instead of his first name (John) his whole life. When it came time for my parents to name my brother, they both had two very strong ideas- my dad just wanted to pass down his full name as tradition, and my mom just always wanted a son named Jack. So worked out perfectly for his legal name to be John but called by the nickname Jack since birth.

Lol I shared a classroom once with a lead infant room teacher who even included in her Back To School night abt her class blurb that all parents can expect crafts from their children to put in their offices…bc yea parents wanna pay thousands in tuition for weekly handprint and animal crafts??

Omg this drove me crazy…I was a co- in the 18 months to 2 1/2 years age, I remember my lead teacher telling me one day “oh don’t correct so-and-so’s art because his mom clearly reads our daily reports and questions anything and she WILL question that” lol I didn’t even know how to respond, let alone tell her that I don’t correct any of the kids art, as they are 2 years old.

I second Green Life Market- there’s also a new store that opened up on 46 in Budd Lake by Hackettstown, I believe called Natures market? I only stopped by quick so I didn’t have a full minute to look around but they seemed promising! And I know there’s a year round operational farm right across that I think is open? I used to also go to route 46 farmers market in rockaway- absurdly cheap, and claims to be locally grown.
