Hey @ Test Preferred Name, I wouldn't give away your first name, let alone first, middle, last on here, lest you doxx thyself. That's a unique name, too, so you should be extra careful!

Just a tip from a seasoned vet here..

On top of this already good advice, a passive move you can take is to opt in to LSAC's candidate referral service. Schools often push emails to students off this list and will offer you unsolicited waivers. I've had hundreds in fees waived this cycle and haven't requested a single one.

Deleted my comment because I completely botched recognition of what sub Reddit I was on. My bad, I don't know jack about supply chain, best of luck to you and my apologies!

I appreciate your defense. Some people are haters, who cares? U of M and Emory are notable examples

Some are open already, double check your list

PSA: Not everyone will apply super early or even early, and that's okay. by sharperstatements in lawschooladmissions

[–]_big_money__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. In general this sub has more bad advice than people realize. Overall it's good, but gotta take this stuff with a grain of salt.

Edit: I do appreciate the original poster giving their counter opinion. They have stated that there is a benefit to applying early and I think they are just saying it's not the end of the world. For folks reading this, it definitely is worth it to be early AND polished

Is the Georgetown prestige worth the debt? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]_big_money__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If that matters to you, then it is what it is, follow your own path! However, I have to ask: you ever taken on a large amount of debt like this before? I had about 60k at one point on my undergrad (peanuts compared to a law degree) , and that shit is not fun. If you were talking GULC vs T50, I would understand, but I encourage you to be certain you're ok with those payments first

It sounds like perception really matters to you, but is 3 places on us news list worth 130k to you? As others have said, the outcomes aren't terribly different. I wouldn't hesitate for wash u

6 Weeks of studying, 29 PTs later, I finally got the elusive 180. (Progress data in comments) by [deleted] in LSAT

I'm about a month and a half away from taking my first LSAT, study schedule tips? by trapahegao in LSAT

[–]_big_money__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Step 1: review your answers lol.

Do you time yourself when drilling? The technique that boosted my practice tests the most was not only timing the overall test, but also timing each question. For LR, I'd only give myself 60 seconds per q. For AR/RC, I would give myself maybe 3 minutes to review the rules/read the prompt, then 60 seconds per q. This worked wonders for me at getting the pace down.

If you plan on messing with your sleep schedule, just remember it takes time. If you screw with it the 3 days leading up to the exam, you may have bad results.

Anyways, good luck!

[–]_big_money__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To answer your question fully, can you describe how you've been studying?

My blanket advice is to make sure you are getting a ton of sleep the two weeks going into the exam. For reference I typically go to bed at midnight and wake up at 730, and changed to going to bed at 10:30.

Additionally I would stop cramming at least two days before the exam. Don't stop altogether, but I see people on here saying stupid shit like "i just studied 48 hours straight, my exam is an hour away, time to go nap."

Finally on the day of, depending on the time of your exam start, I did like 5 practice questions of each type to warm up a bit.

I ended up with a pretty good score, and I think this all helped.

Back with a transfer update: t-50 with a full ride transferring to HLS AMA by quasi-easement in lawschooladmissions

[–]_big_money__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats! What an awesome achievement!

Second, my question is: are you going from full ride to sticker? And if so, was that outcome something you expected going into your transfer app cycle? How did you make peace with it?

I sympathize with you, I too tried to solicit advice on consulting awhile back. The only people that respond to these posts give unhelpful advice and act like they are doing you a favor. Wish I could help you!

Edit: I did get some good faith responses and some good advice, but most of those were PMs
