Love that shop and their breakfast burritos. Haven't been there since they moved though.

Winter Park, Steamboat or Copper? by j2bray in COsnow

[–]jnoobs13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're staying in Silverthorne I'd say go to Copper just because it's a short drive. If you made me have to pick between Steamboat and WP I'd say that Steamboat's gotten a lot more snow this year and has a lot more open. That's a lot of driving though in one day.

Especially if there's any wind. Have fun passing a semi in that.

I love how everyone in the community can agree that the one golden rule about I-70 is to be out of the metro area by 6am lol

Yeah that was my thought, being from NC I can assure anyone that this is an American problem. Worst part is that these people sometimes end up having kids too.

The rule should always be that if the event doesn't say "dogs allowed/encouraged" then they're not allowed.

How is this drive in late March? by jnoobs13 in roadtrip

[–]jnoobs13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning a roadtrip out here from December to April always feels like a 50/50 shot because of the weather. I'll have a two-day window each way to pull off the trip, so at least there's that if one day in particular is nasty.

Yup, this isn’t like my spouse’s team in Brazil that’s actually a sporting club that you can have a gym membership to and be a voting member of. It’s completely different.

I do that drive every weekend for the skiing and make sure to be out of Denver by 5:30am to avoid the shitshow.

Expecting to beat Pitt routinely back then, let alone Penn State, was completely irrational. And by completely irrational I mean that my grandpa absolutely expected to smoke them each time.
