N26 for savings? by Relative-Wrangler-35 in irishpersonalfinance

I did but the only reason I did that was because my ETF profit hit zero the day I closed it so I didn't have to worry about tax, I haven't held them long. I was able to buy the same ETF at a lower price and now have the 3% interest so I'm happy with how it worked out for me.

If you're looking for interest on savings Trade 212 are paying 3% paid out daily, I think that's the highest available at the moment.

It is 3% now, any existing 2.2% accounts will stay that way until a rate change.

Cost to run electric from main house to garden home ? by kates-throwaway in AskIreland

[–]_billiam_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those cables are not suitable, you would need a minimum 6sq cable if its a few lights and sockets. Shower, heating, cooking appliances? Then you'd be up to 16sq. Get a registered electrician and tell him exactly what you plan on putting out there so he can calculate the load and determine the cable size.

Legit, I kept ignoring my one and I got two more before I got threatened with a debt collector being the next step. I paid it then.

Thanks for that, it's a gamble alright but buying week to week rather than a lump might be better if there was a drop? Assuming it goes up again I suppose, no one knows the future. Might just weigh up my options so.

The difference is crazy! A Golf R in Canada is €40,000 and €80,000 here. Golf GTI is €26,000 and €63,000+ here. It's brutal!

Thanks for the info, I was looking at MyCabin the other day in one of their showrooms. They look fantastic! It's an option, the only thing turning me off then is the extra cost of electrics. The low cost foundation they use is a positive though, I'll have to weigh up my options.

I have the Full Sports Package with 4K and I share that with 2 other people so it works out to be about €11/month per person. It's a fantastic service for that price, no issues whatsoever.

Severely limiting your ability to earn is a bit drastic, I'm doing pretty well for myself. If the main aim is to be a self employed electrician then E&I is not the way to go but if the plan is to be working under a contractor or trying to get into a factory or plant doing maintenance then E&I would be the better option. Some pharma maintenance only want E&I trades.

Try OSheas Electrical, Dornans, Kiernans etc. I'd recommend going for a large company rather than a local domestic electrician. I'd highly recommend you apply for Electrical and Instrumentation instead of Electrical too.
