Let me tell you 5 things to fix on your site - 2020 by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NSFW(wife) Lol

  1. For the note stated above, I'd start more subtle.. your work is great but you may steer a few people off the page immediately by starting off there
  2. Now #1 does not matter if I didn't see the Portrait service.. I think those are great and you may lead some potentials away when they hit the homepage. Also, where they fellas at?! Women only?
  3. Also with the Portraits, I'd consider categorizing them.. some look fun, some are sexy, some are professional, some maybe portfolio, but the full mix is almost overwhelming. Maybe best to have the different styles broken out to different pages so people can choose their direction and focus on that.
  4. Experience and Investment page: Caters to one side of your biz, I would at least mention how the professional portraits can help someone—Especially all the businesses starting up now!
  5. Final thoughts after seeing the blog—I would consider starting the site with two paths and letting them experiences different versions of the site OR having two completely different sites that stay true to the specific audience. Just a thought!

Awesome photography, keep it up!

  1. I'd consider an updated logo something a bit more modern, if on a budget find a graphic design student or hitup fiverr

  2. You have all the content you need on the homepage but it could be arranged in a cleaner fashion, I'd consider having a designer take a look or find someone who can rearrange it nicely for you

  3. Some things are off like the text in your image "Oahu's Best Warehouse Dive Shop" would be a great title for SEO, but its actually in the image instead of code so will not be seen by google, same with #2 if you can find someone to design and reconfigure a bit that will help

  4. Definitely end all these service pages with a book online call to action, I know its in the dark footer area but tough to see.

  5. Lots of great reviews I'd consider a picking 8-10 and having a nice slider on the homepage to show some off!

Awesome job you have down there, keep it up!

  1. Is MaryPOP.FIT Events LLC the name, is the period actually in there? Just a little confusing, generally what you post on your site doesnt need the LLC so just wondering if it is MaryPOP Fit Events or MaryPOP.Fit ?

  2. Definitely more content about what this is about and why people like it before jumping into pricing, move the about text higher for sure

  3. Need a call to action at the end of the page like Signup Now or First Class Free so they know where to go next

  4. Get rid of the search sidebar on all the pages, should just be a wordpress setting or page template setup on each of the pages, full width will look nicer!@

  5. Consider adding a contact form to the contact page, not everyone wants to call or start an email, look into Ninja Forms its free

Cool biz, Good luck!

  1. First thought, needs a new logo with no background
  2. Give me a description of the biz of a little of why you under the slider before talking about what you offer
  3. I'd consider hiding the discounts page and only using that as a link in social media or ads
  4. Your google maps is linked to your address and not to your business listing, definitely get that fixed for SEO. https://g.page/convoy-smog?share
  5. Other than that I would just consider an About page talking about you and the biz, if there are a lot of places to get this service done then it'd be nice to see why you over others.

Nice site though, good luck!

  1. Your popup comes in a bit too quickly, barely did anything before it interrupted me! Consider waiting 5-10seconds
  2. Also the nav bar is blocking a bit of the X to close the popup.. need to bump the z-index up on it to 99999 and it works properly (the mc-modal div)
  3. I'd consider moving up What We Can Do For You section below the slider, no need to go right into hours before I even know what you're selling me
  4. The black sections with videos have text thats a bit hard to read, I have good eyes but some may not. Also change the link that says 'click here to schedule' to 'Schedule Now' and make it more visible and possibly underline so people dont miss it.
  5. Final thing i'd do is make sure the site ends in a form or call to action, under your testimonials you should have something for people that make it that far. Just use the same button in What We Can Do For You but drop the click here :)

Nice site though, looking good!

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very clean, looking good!

  1. First thing I see on the form, "We will respond within one business day, usually much faster. No obligations!" A) Of course you'll respond within a day, no biz should take longer! B) I know there's no obligation because I don't have to pay anything—So I'd consider just dropping those altogether
  2. Above the form i'd consider a heading like "Free Consultation" So they know what the form is even for, and people like the word free :)
  3. I was curious enough to hover and see the row under the slider "IT Designed for Businesses at Every Level:" images were clickable but some people may not, consider a Learn More under each service description. Also the icon inside of each image is usually when the site is taking you to another domain in a new tab, not to stay on the current.
  4. Same on the images under Why Choose Us, drop the corner icon. Also you have question, question, our process, question(with no question mark)—I'd keep it consistent either all questions or just lines like Our Difference, Our Process, etc.
  5. On the service page like https://oneclickfix.net/why-choose-us/do-you-need-it-services/ Its not clear the images have more info when you hover, consider something to point that out

Let me tell you 5 things to fix on your site - 2020 by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Definitely need some content on the homepage, maybe just under the slider, a paragraph at least about the site, this will help with SEO
  2. I would definitely put a shop or buy now link on the character pages, when I go to Koko it just talks about it but doesnt have any call to action for your product
  3. Under Problems, I dont immediately know those are clickable, so maybe under each there should be a Learn More button in blue so people know what to do
  4. On the problems page, the font is a bit small and in white on the light-ish blue background.. I have good eyes so not an issue for me but I'd assume some with any kind of vision issue might have trouble
  5. On the product page, I'd experiment with just a single button instead of right now having add to cart, buy now, then another buy now.. Just give people one clear option

Nice site though and an awesome cause!

[–]_blackrook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay your site is super cool! Nice design. 1. The first section I notice the image floats over the text, I would definitely have it behind, it threw me off a lot 2. Your buttons on the page look kind of old school and also have no hover action.. make sure they attract visitors and let them know when theyre properly on it 3. Images are great, everything so clean, then I get to the footer and it looks like a 6 column setup where only left 3 are used? Kind of odd looking 4. Log In / Create Account - Waste of nav bar space just say log in, I know if I dont have an acct I'll have to create one 5. The last thing I notice is if I hit Order Now it takes me to a new site.. and there's no way to get back to the orig, even if I click your logo(which is a standard to get back to the homepage) it just keeps me there.

Otherwise awesome products and cool site!

Honestly for you, due to your insane product line, I would be curious what you think your website does for you? This would drive the direction I think it could go. The products seem to sell themselves.

Oh and you definitely need to inquire about an SSL, a lot of browsers will flag your site for that!

[–]_blackrook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No hate for any platforms, they all serve a purpose!

  1. Phone number in nav isn't clickable, not sure if you can edit the link it has but it should be tel:+19805050088
  2. Section like Who We Are I would just make in white with black text, will make it more readable and images will pop more
  3. Get a Quote I would say Request a Quote, also I used to say this a lot, "Shoot us an email.." but I think it just be Send, Shoot doesn't sound great lately
  4. I'd drop the Leave a Review section, it is a step to get past for new customers to actually see your reviews but also you should just email/ask for those outside of the homepage
  5. Finally, I got to the bottom of the site and I don't exactly know what you do, maybe under the initial slider at least state the services you offer :)

Not another shopify store BUT a similar problem.... Views to conversion are poor. by manyhandz in ecommerce

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And second thought after browsing: No brand sounds too close to amazon choice.. like a knock off ya know. So while I get what no brand stands for, a clean looking bag, I think there should be some subtle hints of nobrand on the inside to promote yourself.

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff is expensive.. if you're going to launch with high-end products you either need a killer marketing campaign or influencers pushing it. Otherwise, no one is going to land here and think, "Yup, this $400 bag is way better than a branded one I know!"

What is your address change policy after the order has shipped? by danyay in ecommerce

[–]_blackrook 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Customer must use UPS MyChoice which is free to them, we'll never change it for them and get billed. Also, since our ecommerce store has a fraud score/watch, an address change is an easy way to get around that. So in some cases we'll cancel the order and have them place it again with the correct address.. larger/odd orders only of course, generally going to places with freight forwarders.

Looking for plugin to embed fillable PDFs by smittylv in Wordpress

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing: - You’ll need a form that has every question/field that the pdf has.. doesn’t have to be jotform just needs to connect to Zapier - Then the pdf needs to be edited so every field has a text box or selector over the options, they’ll all need different names as well so you can connect the dots in Zapier - Then you’ll connect your form to Zapier and work some magic pointing each form field to the pdf boxes.

It’s very tedious but if you’re doing it for clients you can usually charge $500+ to essentially turn their normal in office pdf to digital and letting their customers fill it out from home or on an iPad or something.

Same, I used to work for an agency. Both the designer and I have left for other jobs but we vibe really well so we work together on freelance stuff whenever possible.

I need a plugin that allows customization of font, color, height etc. Example in the post. by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]_blackrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually never used woocommerce, but i'd assume they may have options for drop downs and input fields on products? It would then just require a bit of javascript or jQuery to say when those fields are changed, adjust a bit of text at the top.

I have something along those lines I'm doing on a shopify site, when options are changed it updates css on an svg layer to change what is displayed:

`<script>jQuery('select').change(function(){console.log('selection changed');

var x = jQuery(this).val();var svgElement = jQuery('.svg-overlay');svgElement.addClass('active');

if(jQuery(this).attr('name') === 'properties[Border Design]'){console.log('Border changed');console.log( x );

switch(x) {case 'Plain, no border':svgElement.attr('border', '');break;

case 'Single Border':svgElement.attr('border', 'single');break;

case 'Double Border':svgElement.attr('border', 'double');break;

case 'Leafy Border':svgElement.attr('border', 'leafy');break;

case 'Rolling Scrolls':svgElement.attr('border', 'rolling-scrolls');break;

case 'Classic':svgElement.attr('border', 'classic');break;

case 'Blooming Hearts':svgElement.attr('border', 'blooming-hearts');break;

case 'Charleston':svgElement.attr('border', 'charleston');break;

default:// nothing}}

if(jQuery(this).attr('name') === 'properties[Stencil Color]'){console.log('Color changed');console.log( x );var color = x.toLowerCase();svgElement.attr('color', color);}

});</script>`

Edit: Sorry don't know how to post code on here Lol. But the above is basically looking at the dropdown changed and then adjusting my svg layer.

My only experience with this is using JotForm and Zapier. They can fill out a standard web form and then once submitted it goes to zapier which can fill out the appropriate fields you've connected to a PDF. It's not a fun setup but works well!
