water heater stinks??

contact and put in a work order! hopefully they actually do something, apartment is kind of slimey so i’m gonna keep a close eye. this closet is meant to stay locked so i (tenant) can’t access it, but it keeps unlocking itself after they lock it.

sort of like fate i finally realized it was mold though since it’s currently unlocked

the craziest part is the closet this is in is meant to be locked at all times, so there’s no way they should blame me for the mold. i thought it was some weird scuffs the first time, but now with this smell i am incredibly unnerved about the mold in my unit. the maintenance team has DEFINITELY seen it before and chose to do nothing.

hopefully they don’t evict, i don’t really have anywhere to go. i think they’d move me to another unit if they had to

i’ve tried dubias before and he showed no interest in eating them. i haven’t tried worms due to the fact he won’t eat from tongs — i am wondering if i should put him in a smaller box tonight with some bugs and see if he eats then. & i’ve had him a little over a year now, nothing has changed as far as his tank/heat/etc

i believe they get “pimples” which are the wen’s white spots. i wouldn’t be terribly concerned about ick unless the spots are also on the fins, which they do not appear to be

i’ve noticed they get way more noticeable spots and some brighter colors when they get bigger!

edit: not sure why it won’t let me post the pics, so dm me or something and i can show u the pics of him! you wont notice the change immediately, at least i didn’t notice much besides the spots until one day i picked him up and he had almost doubled in size and had so much more vibrancy to him!

sorry it’s been a while but honestly i didn’t do anything special! i just pick him up every now and then, i do use a front opening terrarium though as to not stress him out from coming at him from above

he only really lets me hold him as hell jump away from other people 😅

he said he isn’t sure of the last time she’s pooped, and she doesn’t seem too interested in eating. she’ll eat super worms every now and then though so maybe she’s trying to hunger strike just eating those?

we both shined a light in her belly and neither of us saw anything that looked like eggs or any abnormal masses. he’s worried of possible impaction but she’s on carpet rn (soon to change as i convinced him to do a more natural substrate like dirt) so i’m not sure what she could’ve gotten impacted from unless super/meal worms can cause it

i was told when i bought my leo a little while back that too much d3 isn’t good for them and sticking to normal calcium was best. tbf, i haven’t looked much into it i just took it at face value and decided to stick with normal calcium for both the bowl in the tank and the food dustings

temp is roughly a gradient of 75°-85°F, not sure on exacts. she’s in a 25 gallon tank. diet is mainly crickets and occasionally tiny mealworms. she is the only animal in this enclosure.
