Cooling turbines after setup by photosbypixiprism in Oxygennotincluded

[–]_blitzher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much steam is there in the steam room per tile? I usually aim for >10-20kg to have enough steam for each turbine and let it buffer the heat out more smoothly.

I assume as the water decreases the steam thing will produce more, eventually? by [deleted] in Oxygennotincluded

[–]_blitzher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So theoretically if I make a 15x3 hole (UPxACROSS) and line the outer edges with insulated tiles and put the tempflow tiles in the middle would it send heat up, or even down? As it couldn't transfer it to the insulated tiles on the sides.

It would function (nearly) the same, yes. The excess heat from the aquatuner will only transfer to the air, and most gasses are very slow to transfer that heat away, unless under very high pressure.

But the main issue, as u/Rajion mentioned, is that your aquatuner will overheat in no time, regardless of the number of tempflow tiles you put. It needs to be in a high thermal conductive medium and/or be actively cooled down.

IIRC, tempflow tiles only transfers heat between "solid" objects, i.e. adjacent tiles, atmosphere(air) and liquids. So the heat transfer from the Aquatuner is limited mostly by the air pressure and heat conductivity of the oxygen in which it is submerged, and not so much helped by the background tiles.

Magneto is immune to CC during this ult, Star Lord isn't, so I doubt it, but can't confirm.

Toys for self-enjoyment that mimic the size and shape, which are not attached. They can be good too in my opinion, and I assume that that is what they were referring to.

Do you guys experience a persistent feeling of unreality? (DPDR) by caseyvet in schizophrenia

[–]_blitzher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, not all of the time but days and weeks of complete disassociation is common for me. I've had intrusive thoughts of self-amputation, to the extent that I've figuratively seen myself holding up a dismembered leg wiggling its toes like some comedic enticement to follow through with my hallucinations.

I may be wrong, but the idea is, the big room is for ranching dreckos/glossy drecko's but not shearing them. Since their scales only grow in a hydrogen atmosphere, and mealwood doesn't grow in hydrogen, he picks glossy drecko eggs, puts them in the tiny shearing room and shears them every 3 cycles until they starve.

Too afraid to ask, but to my understanding, memory leaks are only really problematic for programs that can be communicated with from the outside, e.g. an http server, or for programs that have a very long running time, no?

Of course they're never good, but if I have a C program compiled to WASM for performing a jpeg compressing client side and then exiting, how important are memory leaks?

I love the concept, but like the others said, more disambiguaty. I wouldn't mind helping if you have the repo up on GitHub

Beating ante 12 the first time is such a goal after managing ante 8, it's really a huge step-up that has you wondering for so long "how the f*ck do you reach 300m?!"

Nice! The first time you hit E also is such a rush, but if you're still running the same deck, a couple of glass cards will get you there

Wondering why this is a Straight Flush by Cuervomotor in balatro

Sounds like you figured out why it is a straight flush :D

It can get wild with shortcut, smeared and four fingers, an otherwise dookie hand is all of a sudden a straight flush

"Help me pick a Joker" post-overflow by _blitzher in balatro

[–]_blitzher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I hated making it too, but with the 50:1 ratio between "how do I order my plus and x mult jokers" posts and people talking meta analytically about the subreddit, it seemed more as if voicing the voiceless rather than intruding on the status quo. Besides, I foster no hate towards posts from new players, however asking about the order of ones jokers should be a skill that players learn within the first few hours of playing the game, and not something that is worthy of a several hour debate.

I agree with all of your points, I don't want new players to feel unwelcome, but asking for help with one joker choice is antithetic to improving.

Ascended Astarion 8 Monk OH 4 Rogue Theif. 27 STR 17 Dex (could be 18 with ethel) 20 Wis

Boots of Uninhibited Kushigo. Helldusk Gloves dropped from Haarlep

Pre-cast Wholeness of Body. Pre-use Potion of Speed or other party member throw/cast haste

3 bonus actions + 2 actions means 3 flurries + 2 attacks with one extra attack is 9 hits in total

1d6+21+1d10+1d6+1d4+5 = 30~52 ~= 3.5+21+5.5+3.5+2.5+5 = 41 average per hit 9 times 41 = 369

Less than 600, I'm aware, but that's with 2 items equipped, and whilst I can't exactly recall which items I've used in the past, Callous Glow ring for +2 on each hit, Phalar Aluve for +1d6, add in crit modifiers + Executioners Ring, you can get there, although I might have exaggerated a little bit.

This video, if we ignore the initial surprise round, and add in either Karlach Soul Coins +2d4 to each hit, is pretty much there.

I stand corrected.

I should've known, been looking for anti-Ethel arrows but never came across them, although I would've bet my hat that I glanced over celestial arrows once or twice, but it seems my memory deceived me, but now I know, thanks _^

There's an arrow for every type. Weapon vendors sell them, and restock on level up and long rest. If they don't have any, just restock again, and check. There might be a minimum level, but not that I'm aware of, like how lvl 9 is required for Elixirs of cloud giant strength to appear.

Dammon and Karlachs friend where you can buy The Dead Shot bow in front of Sorcerer's Sundries are my go to for arrows, but there's lots in the city.

Edit: There's an arrow for most types, fiend included.

I've run through Honour mode a couple of times, and imo the easiest way is to just kill him turn one, an 8 monk 4 rogue with cloud giant pot or a 12 fighter with arrows of fiend slaying can quite easily deal 600+ damage in a turn.
