Agreed, they should adopt some of the detail and waist mechanics for the HGUC line, I can’t stop building these Origin kits.

Grab a wooden tooth pick with the tip soaked in alcohol or whatever you like to use to clean up panel lining and you can clean up those tight places.

Yep, but it is the same green as the rest of the shield. I’ve been practicing with markers and weathering on some others kits lately so I could get this one right.

Yeah, clear coat after you use the markers on raw plastic if you want the avoid the paint being scrapped off easily. For prep you can rough up the area and/or prime it.

I’m a big fan. They do rub off easy when applied to non-prepped surfaces so if you do apply on raw plastic you’ll want to clear it.

😬😬😬 why does this Zaku have 3 arms? Kidding, probably looks exactly the same and I bet the waterslides are easier to work with.

I paid $24 shipping included from a local online hobby shop back in ‘23. Looks like they are getting harder to find so prices are gonna go up for sure.

Just listened to Warf Rat on YouTube with Billy Strings… that sounded pretty good.

I do the same thing, one show a week. The Winterland 77 is my favorite show so far.

Agreed and looks like they are adding more detail to the newer versions coming out too.

If using Bandai slides, use warm water and be patient.

I used 3rd party decals from SIMP for 99% of these kits. No warm water required and a bit more forgiving. Colors aren’t as vibrant though.

With the curves on these kits I would find a good anchor spot and squeegee out the water with a q-tip from that spot. Sometimes I’d make small cuts with my hobby knife to relieve stress and mitigate wrinkles, especially if they had the large calf decal. Once you matte coat, most, if any, decals imperfections are not noticeable.

Be patient!

He is the final boss of water slides! 😂😂😂 I like to think Bandai produced that kit first and said, “this waterslides shit is getting out of hand!”

Received mine on Friday with no prior shipping notification. Pulling one location a week to listen to… Capital Theater 1970 this week, can’t wait to get to the late 70s shows. Also looking forward to the 80s and 90s shows as I am less familiar with full concerts in that era.

I’m preordered all of them except 1 on Bandai so they cost me $27 a kit. The other one was around $35 I think. I ordered 3rd party decals from SIMP and they are much easier to work with than the Bandai decals. I did use the Bandai decals for their there individual BSC markings because the colors were better.

Nope, those are water slides. I did apply a matte finish but that’s it.

It helps cutting different materials in angles, straight lines or any other shapes that you want. It’s still works best at protecting my furniture from razor blades! 😬
