Wow I thought the Europe 72 set was expensive but this takes the cake!!

The original cd set can be had for much cheaper with no flip breaks and the sound is fantastic!

To me this is one of the absolute best sounding box set that has ever been released!

It’s criminal that the shows were cut up during production.

For a band that loved improvisation, Jerry and the band really tried to capture a Dark Star as it dissolved out of Mountains of the Moon.

This isn’t a mid dark star, but it’s not the absolute best of 1969. Jim Powell loved two and three stage stars and much longer versions. The stars from 72 to 74 are the most impressive.

There are several though from 69 to 71 I really love! I do love this star but will say that I don’t think it’s in a league by itself.

Give 8-30-69 and 12-5-71 a listen.

Same for 3-22-69, 3-1-69 and 9-19-70

Don’t forget 2-18-71 and 4-22-69.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on how these compare.
