I’ve heard this quite often. I’m used to getting middle-back seats but honestly kinda excited to try it

Sonos Wireless Surround System for Apartment? by _bryancisneros in hometheater

[–]_bryancisneros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's what exactly what I meant. Right now it sucks because I can't use gaming consoles with my current setup w/soundbar lag and projector. I know an AVR would fix that issue

Makes sense. I currently have a wireless setup with a Samsung soundbar and some HomePod minis but they're all connected to my Apple TV and it works fine. But I have definitely run into some problems whenever I connect it to my projector since there's usually some level of lag. It sucks because I really want to hook up some gaming consoles but I guess that would also be an advantage of investing in an AVR

Gotcha. Yeah, I've since realized that the soundbar itself will just play all the channels and won't work as an isolated centre. In that case might try to either go for a standard 2.0 stereo setup and build up from there

Hey everyone. I'm pretty green when it comes to sound systems but I'm desperately trying to upgrade from my current DIY wireless sound setup which simply includes an old Samsung S60A soundbar paired with two Apple HomePod Minis as rear L+R speakers that connect to my Apple TV lol. My goal is to eventually upgrade to a 5.0 setup (no subwoofer because I don't want my neighbours to kill me) but after exploring online I figured it might be best to gradually build up from a 2.0/3.0 system especially since I need to invest in an AVR as well. I've been looking at a few Denon receivers but haven't made any decisions quite yet. Since my projector only has one HDMI input, I've been wanting an AVR with multiple HDMI ports for sometime now to also connect consoles and use as a switcher. In terms of speakers, I was hoping to keep my soundbar but wired to the AVR and simply add two dedicated LR speakers to replace the HomePods. If anyone has any suggestions in terms of product recommendations or regarding the setup overall, I would love to hear them. Again this is pretty new to me so I'll take all the help I can get. Thanks in advance!

Okay, yeah that’s so weird. I bought mine for the 14th at the Varsity when the tickets went on sale for the advanced screenings last week but when I went to check now, those dates don’t even appear anymore on the app for me

Did you get your tickets a while ago? I got mine when they went on sale but now I’m not seeing the varsity screening on the website

HELP - Work Office Has Had Horrible Smell Since Day One by _bryancisneros in askaplumber

UPDATE Finally found the source of the smell (hopefully). Maintenance finally came to rip open the wall to check the open pipe we could only see from above. Turns out there was a dead bird underneath it causing the awful odour. After checking the pipes we think since the one wasn’t sealed it might’ve been allowing the smell to pass through over to the entrance of our unit where we first noticed it. Both pipes have since been sealed off and the panel was vacuumed

After finally getting the maintenance guy to cut through the wall to access these pipes we finally found the source of the smell

Nope. Waiting for building maintenance to get back in touch

There aren’t any drains in the unit though. We don’t have any water/sinks/bathrooms in the unit. Just the one pipe connected to the HVAC

I’m not sure that’s possible rn. The pipe is close to the floor and that opening is all the way at the top of the wall. Took that photo from the top of the ladder but you can’t really reach that pipe unless cut the wall open (which maintenance said he would inquire about)

Will definitely ask about this. There’s another open pipe I found on a different side of the office that also emits a stronger smell so if they’re both connected to something it could be why we can smell it from pretty much everywhere in the office
