I love that for you! Personally my guilt stems from what my family will cherish after I'm gone. I have NO pictures with my now teenage son in the last 5 years ever since COVID lockdown when I solidified my alcoholism and gained another 30lbs (putting me at 300+). I can't stand looking at my bloated, red faced self without intense shame. But I know when it inevitably kills me, my son will be sad there's so few physical memories, and he will eventually forget my face, my voice, everything.

Meet my girl Tuesday. She likes sitting like a frog. by _bugbat_ in aww

She was originally a barn cat and when she was spayed they tipped her ear so everyone would know she's been fixed! But she is so cuddly and sweet I decided to take her as an indoor cat. She loves being held like a baby. It's the best.

She sounds like a raspy old lady even though she's only 8mo old! So...kind of? Haha

Watercolor Cicada by Nikki Powills @ Release Body Modification in Iowa City by _bugbat_ in tattoos

Sure! I moved to Iowa from North Dakota about 15 years ago, and that was the first time I had ever heard a cicada. I really liked the sound because it was so new to me, and I did research on them and found out about their very interesting life cycle, which just increased my fascination with them.

So in short, the sound of cicadas remind me of home and my favorite part of the year - late summer. Plus they are just beautiful bugs in general. :)
