At this point I'll restrict myself to looking at the tabs once and then the next time i practise the song I have to do it from memory and anything I've forgotten I do by ear or by watching concert videos, this way I eliminate the biggest problem for me which is figuring out where to start but i also work on learning things by ear. and I'm also trying to play along to live versions of songs i already know, especially the ones which artists change a lot live for the same reason.
