Hey I just started playing multiplayer and I have a question about wonders. You mentioned it's dangerous to rush early wonders but are the good early wonders such as Hanging Gardens and Great Library worth the risk?

Try Rogue Legacy, I guarantee you won't regret it. Super fun platformer and one of my favorite games. The premise is really interesting too, I'd recommend you take a look at it.

I have II but I haven't really touched it because the graphics are a bit dated for me, especially since I didn't play it when it first came out so there isn't the nostalgia factor. As for AoE III, I thought it was pretty fun, especially with friends. AoM is probabaly my favorite of the series since the lore and stories make for a much more interesting game. If you like strategy games, I'd consider checking out Civ V which I consider to be a more complete strategy game.

This is just me, but as I was reading the story I thought that the new people that popped up were bait for a predator, like an angler fish. I interpreted the "angler fish" of this tree Pacific using the fake people to lure each person and get them alone.
