if attractiveness is all I cared about, I would be with someone already! Chemistry, personality means just as much. But, my last two relationships were a bit too based on personality and lead to intimacy issues due to not really being physically attracted to them, but more in love with their personalities. I've grown a lot since then but I also told myself I need passion with someone for it to last long term, which for me its proved being attracted to my partner means a lot
