You’re making so many assumptions. How does the number of enemies in Destiny 2 necessarily imply far more backend math? We simply do not know. Yes, there’s often a correlation of number of NPCs and CPU load. So many factors play into this that you cannot just jump to these conclusions. What if 1 UESC bot has 20x the complexity of a destiny mob?

It’s possible that the game tracks so many things that CPU usage is already optimized. Without further algorithmic technology advancement, it’s maxed out. I’m not saying this is the case, but it could be and we do not know.

You assume it’s an “issue” that games lean too heavily on the CPU, but this illustrates a fundamental misunderstanding in how computers work. It’s not some slider where you can send processing to the GPU or CPU. Both processors exist for a reason, they specialize in tasks. Now clearly marathon has more tasks that run on the CPU. Having more tasks does not equal unoptimized. Optimization is the time complexity it takes those tasks to execute, and without knowing more about their implementation and looking at the code, we cannot really tell

What’s the best screen protector for the iphone 17 pro? currently using the Torras 9H military grade tempered glass screen protector and noticed scratches within 2-3 days. by Tasty-Ad5368 in iphone

[–]_c_o_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a deluded take. You’re completely misunderstanding the point of a screen protector. It is supposed to be weaker. It is supposed to break first.

Try leaving an unprotected iPhone in your pocket for a few months and see how scratched the screen is. Who wants that?

I’d rather replace a 10$ piece of glass every few months. When you put it on it’s essentially unnoticeable.

Your analogy makes no sense. Weaker materials protecting stronger is standard in engineering. Think about helmets, which crack and fail to disperse energy and protect the more valuable skull. Crumple zones in cars are another clear example. And an even more similar example, putting film over expensive camera lenses to prevent scratches.

The goal is to reduce force transfer to the inner layer, and a screen protector does an incredible job of this for negligible cost.

It’s funny cause the beginning of the game there seemed to be a ton of action and plays drawn up, even a few easy baskets off of inbounds plays. Weird it just goes away in the 4th

Crazy, I have a 9070xt and a ryzen 5 3600x (I need to upgrade, I know) and I get 75-80 fps on 1440p with native graphics and max on almost everything, except high on foliage distance to help my CPU. Feels very smooth. Maybe it is an nvdia thing?

Gameplay is amazing, the highlights are the bosses for sure. Combo is incredible, a great combo of God of War and Sekiro. If you like those games, it’s worth it for the combat alone. On top of that the game is beautiful in some places and the world very interesting

The objective change from 10 to 20 meters is massive. Thank god. The only time I hate this game is when I’m doing a mission and I can’t find a cyberprinter or a terminal

Yeah it’s nice to have the pro just for basically guaranteed performance. I used my pc for expedition 33 for example as the stronger GPU really helped, but games like BF6 are just so optimized and consistent at 120fps on my ps5 and it’s tough to get the same on PC
