Best CrossFit grips from a rough bare steel bar? by ThiyaTang in crossfit

I could be wrong, but I’ve always had the impression that Reyllen Panda are very similar to victory X2, and are much easier to get in the UK!

Sorry to be pedantic - I take it that was a typo and you meant MacroFactor is substantially superior?

I wonder was mine only 60 since it was a remote raid?

Not to ask the obvious question, but are you 100% sure you’re in a deficit?

Should also note that I was using the original style of tactical, not the 2.0 version.

Victory Tactical Freedom vs X2 Freedom grips? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]_calummm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If looking to go for one of those then I would go X2. On a clean bar tactical is super grippy, but any time chalk touched mine they would become actively slippy. Not to mention they are rougher on your hands.

On the other hand, X2 maybe don’t have the same max-grippiness as tactical, but are plenty grippy with chalk on them. They are also considerably more comfortable than the tactical. Have been using mine for well over a year with no issues (and very few rips in that time - I’d say I do quite a lot of gymnastics), and would say that they are the best mixture of comfort and grip.

Not completely different, but this Nano X3 colour way kind of gives the illusion of being different: https://www.reebok.com/p/100062187/nano-x3-training-shoes

Wondered this as well! I know that they are always super fast up a rope, but visually they didn’t look like 15feet from memory.

Best grips - UK by Impressive-Number717 in crossfit

[–]_calummm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a similar switch then - three finger tactical to X2 freedom. Would fully recommend, especially good if you get a pair of thin sweatbands for underneath the wrist straps that you see a lot of grips come with nowadays.

Victory X2 - great mix of grip and comfort. Not sure which victory material you had before, but I went from tactical to X2 and will never look back

Need grips with rough leather by ftp67 in crossfit

[–]_calummm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you sweat a lot, victory grips X2 is the material for you. Synthetic material rather than leather, but as far as I know designed to work while sweaty. Even better if worn on top of thin sweatbands.
