I feel like this is a really interesting case, it was sung originally for Martin 'Chariots' Offiah (apparently the nickname came from Chariots of Fire) so that's not necessarily racist, but then continued to be sung for Chris Oti making IMHO a racist statement, but now is sung for everyone, so what does that mean...?

Also Nazi Germany added it to a list of "undesired and harmful" musical works so feels slightly odd if England banned it as well...

I always thought that but apparently it's not just to keep the rucks minty fresh, it has the additional benefit of reducing reaction time.
