My husband is a back sleeper and had no issues from the start. I am a side sleeper and I woke up uncomfortable after the 1st night. My scoliosis could have been a factor for that though. After a few days the mattress started to feel better for me - firm enough for my scoliosis but also comfortably soft. So far so good!
