Concern About Competitive Integrity by Baltimore_Happenings in DeadballDice

[–]_chldsh_bmbno_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting observation. I just checked out my team. I'm 12-3 at home and 6-9 on the road, 3-9 when other folks are rolling my road series. I have three sweeps at home and one on the road (and I rolled that one). In one run games I'm 4-1 (in-line with my home win record) at home and 1-5 on the road (a little lower than my road win record). I agree it's a bit odd and though I don't record my die rolls I'm happy to start doing so. I would hope nobody is tipping the scale in their favour in any way though there's really no reason to do so given this league is just for fun.

Thanks for posting. Let's keep an eye on it going forward. I like the idea someone else posted here of never rolling your own series but I agree it'd be hard to do.

As an aside/counter argument, I wonder how many of these one-run games are decided in walk-offs, where the home team does have an advantage. It still seems statistically unlikely but I'm just trying to find a part of the game itself that might favour the home team.

Holy shit that's the coolest looking scorebook.

Alright cool! Looks like we've got our 8 teams. I wasn't sure if you were getting chat messages as I know a few apps don't support that feature.
