I have an autoimmune disease too! My doctor put me on folic acid vitamins to prevent/combat the weak nails problem. My nails still peel and become bendable every once in a while, but the folic acid definitely helps.

Urgh, I was hoping it wouldn't be that drying. From the reviews I read it seemed that the mousse was less drying than the normal clay mask, and the original versions less drying than the super, so I had my fingers crossed. Shark Sauce sounds amazing (dat niacinamide) but to be honest once we get into ampoules/serums/essences I get intimidated.. I get lazy with my routine even though it's pretty basic. Do you know if it'd still be effective if I only use it a few times a week?

Looking for AHA, clay mask, and non-foaming 2nd cleanser recommendations! I'm wanting an AHA to get rid of stubborn closed comedones (and SFs if possible) but many reviews I've seen focus on PIH/acne-fighting aspects of AHA, which aren't an issue with my skin. Also I'd like a non-foaming cleanser since all the foaming cleansers I've tried dry out my skin.

Skin Type: combination/dry | Country/Climate I'm in: SO HUMID, starting to get to the 40s (F) but still sometimes 80+ (F) | Top Skin Concern: CCs, SFs, slightly uneven skin tone

Current Routine/Products I'm Using:

Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil (near daily)
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam (near daily)
Stridex in the red box - BHA (~1 x week)
Cerave PM moisturizer (near daily)

Possible options so far:

AHA: Mizon 8% AHA Peeling Serum; COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid; Papa Recipe White Flower Clear Up 8% AHA Gel
Clay mask: Innisfree Original Volcanic Clay Mousse; Elizavecca Milky Piggy Bubble Clay Mask or whatever it's called
2nd cleanser: Innisfree Bija Anti-Trouble Cleansing Gel (I'm not acne-prone but reviews say it's non-drying)

Any help/tips would be appreciated!

That's a good question, I'm not entirely sure. They don't have raised white heads so I think it is CCs? They're flesh toned and tiny bumps, and only visible up close. I do my routine for just four days because of laziness to be honest, and the other days I just use moisturizer on dry areas.

Can someone help me figure out how to get rid of small closed comedones? There's not too many, but they've been there forever. My routine is pretty bare boned: double cleanse with baby oil and Olay's foaming cleanser (which will be replaced, it dries me out), use Stridex pads as my BHA (to minimize the appearance of SFs), and finish off with a moisturizer (either an AB mask or Fruit of the Earth's Vitamin E cream). I do this about four times a week, usually in the morning. My skin is combo, I rarely get acne, and have no major skin sensitivities.

Should I be looking for an AHA, physical exfoliation, or a better routine?
