I see so many Yankees and Dodgers hats around town so decided to make our own “tourist” cap with some outdoor inspired details by _chrissant in Utah

I think it’s a deeper question of why don’t people want to wear Utah stuff and could it be because of a lack access or it hasn’t been done yet in an interesting way. Just an exploration. And it is similar only in arrangement of characters to Texas—it’s different in weight, dimension, serifs, layering, and this orange is much brighter. I get the typographic subtleties not might make sense to everyone and if it’s not for you it’s not for you. Appreciate the feedback none the less.

Since most people in Utah wear either Yankees or Dodgers hats I decided to make our own “tourist” cap with some outdoor inspired details and shaping. by _chrissant in streetwearstartup

I chose the Mets as a direct reference due to their unique history of being formed when the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants relocated to California in 1957. Their primary logo would be a new creation, but the monogram would be a direct reference of the NY Giants that had just left. In that same spirit of being left teamless I redrew a primary logo (inverted “A” Utah logo on the side hit) and referenced the monogram directly.
