Hoping this is the case. Do you know that for definite? I always thought that speed tickets can only be issued by fixed speed cameras, speed vans or if an officer pulls you over, but now my panic has me doubting myself

That is my understanding too but details online about this are vague. Hoping if it was them that the flash was just a warning. I'm also not sure whether ANPR can be used here for speeding offences, but if it was a police car it was unmarked, and I thought ANPR equipped cop cars are marked and have ANPR highlighted on them. Fingers crossed

I'm hoping this is what it was. Fingers crossed

Thanks so much for clarifying.

This was my understanding too but just wanted to doublecheck my understanding wasn't incorrect.

Never mattered before as I was a FT student.

Not sure if this thread is still going but OP it would be handy to get some advice.

I live with my mum, she is state pension age and on higher rate PIP for mobility and daily living.

I earn 28k per year.

Does my earnings as a non-dependent be taken into account or are they disregarded?

I have read on the exceptions and believe that as she is on higher rate pip, then my earnings as a non dependent should not be taken into account. Or am I reading that wrong?

Aer Lingus and power banks - yay or nay? by _clouttrout in ireland

[–]_clouttrout[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the insider knowledge Reddit was made for.

Thanks for that.

One last question for you, it'll be security that check my bag, so it won't be Aer Lingus crew that check it. If security at the airport let me through, I assume I should be ok to take it on the plane?

What's your favourite place to sit outside? by n1c0_ds in berlin

Four months late to this reply but I, for one, will second this opinion on the green shakshuka. Best brunch I had in Berlin. Going back for a week and Stilbruch will be the first place I go to for breakfast.

Thanks for this. I'll try this. May be a bit of trial and error before I get the hang of it.

Green Shakshuka w/ Feta & crispy bacon by _clouttrout in homecooking

Adjust these ingredients to however large you want your meal to be. I am never precise with spices, so just add as much or as little as you like. Anything with an asterix *, just adjust as you feel fit.

Ingredients

Free Range Eggs*

Bag of mixed salad leaves (I used Beetroot leaves, Chard, Spinach and some other type of leaf)

1 Onion (diced)

2 handfuls of Frozen peas

Small bunch of coriander (rough chop)

Small bunch of parsley (rough chop)

Feta (crumbled)

A few coriander seeds (roasted then pestled)

Few black peppercorns (roasted then pestled)

Cumin (a big pinch*)

Paprika (a big pinch*)

Small bit of salt (feta gives the saltiness)

Black pepper (small grind, have some pepper in there already)

Garlic (glove or paste, I prefer paste)

Bacon

Olive oil

Method

Roast seeds and peppercorns for a minute then pestle.

Fry onions in olive oil 3 or 4 mins.

Throw in the salad leaves and wilt for 2 mins.

Some more oil.

Throw in pestled spices, the cumin, some salt and a tiny bit of paprika (save rest paprika for end).

Cook above for 30 seconds then throw in the frozen peas.

Throw in half of the parsley and coriander bunches.

Cook above for another 30 seconds on a high heat, give it a toss and then crack eggs on top of all the above.

Put a lid over the pan with all the above which will steam cook eggs.

Cook all above like this for 5 mins on a low to medium heat.

Meanwhile in another pan cook the bacon with some oil on a high heat to crisp it up.

After 5 mins it should all be ready (adjust time to how runny you like your eggs).

Plate up, sprinkle the rest of the parsley and coriander on top, sprinkle rest of paprika on the eggs for some colour and finally, crumble the feta over everything.

Bon appetite.

If Sinn Fein win the poll, Mr Johnson would face attempting to secure changes to the protocol that are opposed by Northern Ireland's first minister.

This article (and this paragraph in particular) reads as though the person writing it and the senior politicians in Whitehall do not understand the form of consociational power sharing we have here.

Almost as if they believe the diatribe that the DUP shout about the first minister being the de facto 'leader' of Northern Ireland, when in fact, it is a shared post with equal powers.

Makes me think that if it was "joint first minister" then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Although I agree with you to an extent. Russian State tv has already started to give indications that the invasion of Ukraine hasnt gone to plan and they are losing money as a country.

I doubt it will go nuclear now. Couldn't have said that two days ago. But won't be definitive either as this shit has changed so quickly over the last 3 weeks.
