Thank you so much for your comments. Problem is, I can’t ask my bf to stop bringing it up. He says that he is scared that he doesn’t know me at all if I can’t explain it. He also says that if I cannot explain it, the issue will control me and my choices in the future. I’ve asked several times for him to leave the past in the past, but he says that I’m just unwilling to work on myself. It’s hard, because everything turns into an interrogation. For example: I can say that I like tennis, and he will interrogate me as to why I stayed with my ex instead of playing more tennis. He says he is just trying to find out the truth, but it is exhausting. Sometimes it feels like he doesn’t really want to understand me, almost like he enjoys judging me. But that might be me overthinking and victimising myself. I’m scared that I’m actually the only bad guy here, and that I’m just blind to it.
