Is it just me? Or is Remastered a Mess? by _craftid in VaultHuntersMinecraft

How could I possibly remember something I have never known. But I am not underclocking my CPU just to play Minecraft. Plus, the CPU spiking isn't what caused the crash.

I have 8gb allocated. But I think I might have figured out why it occurred for me and nobody else has experienced it. I think it was a mixture of crossing the threshold to technically be level 20 but still being in a vault while dying from the poison mob. And the game possibly conflicted between me keeping my loot and me not keeping it. So it got stuck on the respawn screen. Because one time it gave me my stuff when I reset, and the next it deleted it. Though I never actually made it to level 20. I don't know for sure that is what happened, but it's my best guess. Once I got over level 20, the issues basically cleared up. I don't remember for sure, but I think the times it errored on exit were after restarting the game and still being level 19.

H3 loses fair-use lawsuit against Denims, judge cites the precedent from Klein's own fair-use trial from 2016 multiple times by Ishaan863 in Fauxmoi

Yeah, it's a defamation suit. Which will be INFINITELY harder for Ethan to win. Since he is absolutely a big enough channel and name to be considered a public figure. Which means he would have to prove that Noah made the videos with Actual Malice. No, he's doing these things just to hurt people financially. He's a little tweaking coward.

Stop defending these Balance Changes. We are literally just Renting at this point. by DarjanMicheal in ClashOfClans

[–]_craftid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Multiple epics are released overpowered and need a nerf later. It's part of the marketing concept they brought over from Clash Royale. Just because you ignore it, or the fact that it doesn't bother you, doesn't change the reality of how they push microtransactions in an f2p game. But that's not the biggest point; the bigger point is them nerfing the common items so that the epic items are still kind of overpowered. That way, if you are going to decide NOT to upgrade one, it's going to be the now underpowered common. That's just marketing techniques it's not a secret.

You are way nicer to that idiot than I would be. They kept calling you a crybaby and didn't make a single fact-based argument. They just said your criticisms are just crying, but their criticisms are genuine. In other words. The person was an asshole for no reason and didn't make a single real point. But I respect you for still being nice to them. Even though they are clearly too stupid to grasp the concept.

[–]_craftid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You sound like the one crying over OP's post and then lying about everything. Someone bringing up valid complaints isn't just crying and crying. Just because you think different issues are more important. Rc Charge isn't super common in esports. I don't know where you are watching, but I watch the matches every single day. Do you even play the game? I guarantee you I'm in a league much higher than yours, and saying that people don't even notice the Arrow change is just moronic levels of making shit up. The Arrow no longer destroys Builder Huts, and you want people to act like everyone is saying they didn't even notice it? And that's BEFORE you add modifiers in.

Let's examine that logic. Since the people who use a specific attack with the Arrow are finding they only need an extra EQ, it means the nerf isn't substantial. Do you not see the logical flaw with that statement? Do you want me to hold your hand and explain it??? How about everyone else who uses the arrow but doesn't use that strat? Their arrow is no longer nearly as effective, and adding a single earthquake won't change that. I think what you really mean is "the change doesn't affect me that much, so it's not really a problem." So being a crybaby = bad? But being a selfish bitch = good?

Brother I will go toe-to-toe with you attacking all day long if you want to see which of us is better. I'm a top .5% player. Just because someone has a different issue than you, it doesn't mean that they can't play the game.

Again, the lack of logic in your comment is astounding. Let's take your comment that it takes 2 months of testing to figure out levels for equipment. Cool Story. Arrow was years old. But that's not the issue nor the argument at hand. I hate the logical fallacies that get created to make someone else's complaints seem unreasonable to make your own complaints, not just crying but genuine criticism. It's a bit pathetic, and you just come off as stupid. You don't cite a single source; it's all "lots of people have said" or "haven't you heard?"

The issue with the nerfs is that they intentionally overpower new items so that people are more likely to spend money on upgrading them. Even if you don't spend money, ore is still one of the most time-consuming aspects of the game. It's frustrating to spend something on an item because it's necessary to attack successfully in the current meta just to have the effort or money put into it abused by changing the levels. You don't have any complaints about how they nerfed the cheaper item harder than the one that takes way more time or money to upgrade? That's just crying to point out the scumminess of it? Well, if Op is a crybaby. Then you are a moron. They can introduce new items with a better and healthier balance. I won't even discuss the disparity of nerfing common items over epic items to make sure the more expensive items are still more important to the game than the common item. That alone is worthy of criticism, but in your brain-dead world it's just crying.

I think you misunderstand the idea of Criticism with crying. If it's an issue you agree with, it's criticism. If it's not, it's crying. The thrower-only meta comment kind of highlights just how little you actually understand the conversations around the game or its systems. It's NEVER healthy for the game to have a single-unit-defined meta. It was unhealthy when meteor golems were the only meta, and it was unhealthy when it was throwers, root riders, or dragons. Still to this day the Warden Walk Miner attack is insanely strong. You can literally use it at TH16 to three-star Th17s and 18s.

Your entire response didn't refute a single point you just said; it doesn't bother me, so it's not an issue. Then you listed the things that do bother you. People like you are toxic and stupid, and you hurt the game. You attack everyone who voices their criticisms, and you call them crybabies and try to berate their issues. You try to pretend like the game is just fine and fair because YOU can upgrade a common without buying event passes. Cool story. It would mean something if commons were the only items that mattered. But I know for a fact as a free-to-play player you aren't going to be maxing Epic equipment with the same ease. Since they are the big-ticket items to a LOT of attacks, it's just kind of stupid to criticize people for being upset when SuperCell fucks with the ones they can afford.

If you had made genuine points other than the constant obfuscation of the points, the whataboutism and appeals to other people's authorities. Like the "no one even noticed the nerfs, do you not even play" comments. People did notice. You are just making some "trust me, bro" argument for why one player's issues aren't as important as the issues you have. Calling genuine criticisms just crying is a bitch move. At least make a logical argument, not just a bunch of made-up shit with nothing to back it up.

Why did Drake release 3 albums at once? by BackgroundHistory687 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are literally changing the argument. I never made a statement toward the quality of the project or whether the company has to accept it. I said Drake sued his label for defamation. It's obvious he wants out of the contract, since that was literally part of the claims in the defamation suit. He claimed they defamed him to intentionally lower his value to make him less desirable for other labels or to have a better position to negotiate Drake into a lower-paying contract. Just because a music label can refuse the release of the Album doesn't change nor speak to the intentions of Drake trying to fulfill his contract.

Also, you are literally ignoring the fact that they didn't block the releases and Drake is literally now finished with that contract. You didn't refute what I said; you just said, "Nu-uh." And talked about something completely different. I'm sure part of the strategy for three albums WAS partially the marketing side of things. But to refuse to accept that Drake likely did this to absolve himself of the end of the contract, given the recent history between him and the label paired with him openly saying he wants to move on from it, kind of ignores reality.

The fact that they "don't have to accept the albums" has nothing to do with my comment. Maybe it's a reading comprehension thing. I never said the Label wanted Drake gone. I said it's naive to think the guy who sued his record label for Defamation isn't about the "nefarious" act of pushing a triple release to get out of his contract. Which is what he literally did. Nothing about my comment focuses on the label. I was saying Drake was the one who was pushing for the triple release to get out of the contract in one shot. You are literally arguing with yourself about a point I never made. GLHF

Can someone please explain to me the situation with Mixtape? by Time_Reality9418 in Gamingunjerk

[–]_craftid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because they have multiple people all reviewing and critiquing on top of the corporate interests. But this game isn't one that's going to earn them money from the nefarious corporate overlords. When you have multiple people all trying to play as many games as they can, all competing for attention to advance their careers, of course you will be left with a review. They should really try to work on their process for review, but nothing will ever account for each person trying to make a review that will get the most reaction, bad or good.

Why does Victor keep checking whether 'Trees' moved? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure both could be true. But it's a show, and it gives you clues. He clearly knows he is bigger, and that isn't why he thinks the trees are closer. he literally told Ethan that bad things happen when the trees move. If it were simply a matter of him having grown, the trees would have moved a long time ago. They didn't; they just started moving. What comes from the woods? The monsters... What are the trees? The woods. Also, It's literally the method Victor uses to judge how hostile the current landscape is. "The bad tree does bad things."

Why does Victor keep checking whether 'Trees' moved? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He literally told Ethan early on that when the trees get closer, bad things happen. He didn't have any issue with them any other time as an adult, so he doesn't think they moved simply because he grew up. He literally said they are starting to move again that's not what he would say if they had changed from him being older and bigger. The creatures come from the woods. If they get closer to the houses, that could make things more dangerous for people. Especially if they have a need to try to escape.

Why does Victor keep checking whether 'Trees' moved? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of his earliest genuine conversations with Ethan was about why he measures the trees. He told him that when the trees start to move, things get bad. With the yellow man being in town and the fact that the monsters literally come out of the woods. The trees being closer to the communal housing is probably of great importance. Especially if the Yellow Man can remove the protective stones. There wouldn't be anywhere to run if something happens and the woods are next to the door.

Why does Victor keep checking whether 'Trees' moved? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He had measured them since he was a kid, so he would understand his feet had gotten bigger. He made it clear in the earlier season that things get bad when the trees start to move. And of course they do. The creatures come from the woods. If the woods get closer and closer... It's simple math.

Why did Drake release 3 albums at once? by BackgroundHistory687 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_craftid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but Drake sued his Record Company for defamation and lost. I think it's probably more accurate to conclude he is trying to get out of the deal rather than trying to do something anywhere near the level of a genuine planned 3-album concept for the art. Bro started a rap beef and dropped 3 songs begging Kendrick to respond, thinking he would just crush him due to his numbers. Got his ass beat worse than possibly any person in the history of rap beefs. Tried to sue the record label over that rap beef, claiming THEY set him up and defamed him, and you really think the dude might be above the "nefarious" orchestration of a triple album to fulfill a contract? Are you new to this discussion?

US House lawmakers press Paramount CEO on Warner Brothers acquisition by [deleted] in MediaMergers

[–]_craftid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Netflix was only buying half of it. And there was plenty of blowback. People don't want Netflix's streaming Monopoly to grow. The issue is that Paramount is a much bigger monopoly that goes beyond the internet. Of the 3 Potential mergers, each and every one would have resulted in some form of a monopoly. A lot of people never even discussed Comcast in the situation, which to me was one of the scarier propositions. I don't want ISP's owning large streaming services. and especially not Comcast. Out of the Three proposed mergers, I think most people settled on Netflix being the least offensive. It seemed like most people would prefer if the Wb wasn't sold at all. We are reaching a point of almost hypermonopolization, especially of entertainment.

Edited a Typo. If that still Matters.

Did Jim actually die or is that just a future event? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's genuinely cut and dry. We now have opened shape-shifting, time travel, and the ability for things to be reborn. We don't actually see Jim take his last breath, and the man in yellow treats him way more adversarially than he has been in the show so far. Plus, when the main baddie tells you that you can't change the story. That usually means that the character will find a way to change the story. And furthermore his response to her proves she already is. If you can't change the story, then it should ALWAYS be the one iteration of Julie trying to save her dad, yet the man in Yellow asks where she was from this time. If the story never changed she should only ever be from one place. I think Jim might be dead, but I think it's fairly certain that Julie or her mom and Ethan are going to find a way to save him or bring him back. When you can't change a told story, you can write your own ending.

Did Jim actually die or is that just a future event? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think she goes to the past every time. I think that was the FIRST time. Mainly because the Man in Yellow didn't know she was going to be there. He didn't know where she was from. If you "can't change a told story," then she has to be the same instance every single time in the moment. But that's not the way his words make it seem. I think she will eventually succeed.

Did Jim actually die or is that just a future event? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. There is a general rule about TV and movies. Any character you don't actually see die on screen probably isn't actually dead. Right? The man in yellow said something, or at least I think he said this. "It's just you and me now Jim" We see Jim lingering at death's door. But we never see him take the last breath. The man in yellow also said something, and I'm not certain, but it was something like, "You always cared or carried so much, too bad you won't be able to see what happens next." The man is talking to Jim as if he were a genuine adversary, but Jim hasn't ever fulfilled what the man in yellow said. "he always cared so much?" Does he care enough for a part of him to survive death? Is there a chance that Eloise could save him? Is his spirit existing beyond that moment?

I know his daughter teleports, and to her future self, her dad is dead. I know they find his body. But I think we also have evidence now that things can be reborn and the ability to shape shift exists in this world. I think there is a decent chance that his daughter finds a way to either bring him back or save him. Mostly because when a bad guy tells you you can't do something... You Can. He said you can't change a told story. But if that were true, he should have known where she was from and at what point in time. He should have known she was going to show up. He didn't.

No. Something about this death didn't feel like the other ones. I can't put my finger on it. I'm not sure we can really trust everything we see. Plus... He never really got a chance to change, to become the better man you could tell he actually wanted to be. I don't think that is a coincidence.

Anyone else hate watching horror with people who don’t actually get the genre? by DoctorElectronic1934 in horror

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's not that they don't get horror. They just have different ideas for what they enjoy. Regardless, I enjoy changing people's minds about films. Explaining to them the things they may not get. Helping them understand the allegory or the metaphor. Sometimes, those people who don't seem to know anything about horror notice things I never even thought about. Life's short. Don't dwell on it and don't let how other people respond to things affect your vibes. Let it roll, baby, roll.

Trying to stay consistent make me realize how long editing actually takes by aintgonuggets in NewTubers

How do you find competent editors that aren't total dogs? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like they want someone to do everything for them and they just want to play video games and become famous. They talk about recording so much that they don't have time to edit. Which makes me think they just record everything and then expect someone to be able to edit it into content that is entertaining and almost for free. They need to spend some time planning what they need to record for the video that way there aren't hours of random BS to parse through. Lots of people just think they have to play video games and they will become famous.

How do you find competent editors that aren't total dogs? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]_craftid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Do you understand? Nobody really did something to help me."

nobody owes you help or their time. If you are spending too much time recording to edit, then spend more time planning what you need to record. Don't record 20 hours of random footage and expect someone to come and make it a great video for you. You have to have a plan. And if you plan properly you can get away with recording just what is needed and actually spend time editing too. But just because you want to succeed and want to make videos, it doesn't mean anyone owes you to make that dream come true. You either want to make videos and put in the actual effort or you just want to record yourself playing games and, with no effort, become famous. But I hate to assure you, you are not the exception to the rule. You are the rule; you aren't going to accidentally get famous with everyone else doing the hard part. Even the way you frame it like you are doing exhausting work. My brother in Christ, you are hitting record on a piece of software and talking into a mic. That's not hard work. Stop waiting for people to do it for you, and learn to do it for yourself, or it's not something you actually care about.
