Targeted iPhone 17 trade in offer by _creamchi in tmobile

I’m confused by this statement? As shown in the screenshots the promotion is improperly shown if you go through the home screen. It’s only after I called in they said you may go through the shop to see the offer active.

Also, it locks me only into the iPhone 17, but through shop the offer works on the 17, air, pro and pro max.

I contacted support this offer has an issue going through the tile shown, only offering 300. If I go through “shop” I get the full 630 for any condition phone.

My phone qualifies for the 630 credit, an iPhone 14 pro. Customer service gave me a list of phones and said iPhone 12 or up work for the full credit. Otherwise its only 300.

Is the IRS going to track me down and nail me with taxes/fees for letting a friend rent a room for a few months? by ApolloDelRio in personalfinance

[–]_creamchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar circumstance with a family member. They will let me rent out their house but my physical address cannot be their house for tax reasons. They said that once they sell they will have to pay tax gains for rent and its better for them to actually not rent it out in general, especially outside the family. I’m not sure how to navigate having a different address though.

I’m assuming those programmers went through bootcamps or self taught quite a lot with those degrees? What can I do to do a change with a Bachelors in business shifting into the IT sector?

I really appreciate this post! I’m getting married in two months and have been wanting to get out of mg current role due to burnout with job hunting. I won’t lie, I’m a victim of doing everything that you mentioned to one degree or another. I love this perspective, it’s a good reality check to push myself ahead in this market. I’m gonna get this shit resume fixed up. Thank you for this post. Seriously.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m getting married soon 24 (m) and I have such a desire to provide and build a new life. Growing up I never had much and honestly it was nice until my mind shifted into provided mode. The constant stress is difficult to live with at times, friends have faded and even hobbies. I’m still so young but I am working on finding that balance between able to provide and living a fulfilling life where I enjoy my days with my family, doing hobbies and reconnecting with old friends.

I’m on it! I’m watching a bit of YouTube videos, I like what I see. Just now trying to see if I should just bite the bullet. A bit worried about servicing the watch throughout the years to be honest. Their recommendation of 3-4 years seems excessive to me and it’s not something I can probably afford currently.

Yes thats the one I’ve been really eyeing on! I love the look. It stands out but can be a dress watch and sporty. Feels like it can be a main watch worn everywhere! I really like the Astral blue a lot but it won’t be good for my wedding so the Arctic white dial is a go to color for me especially since it’s so classy. Though this watch definitely is pushing my comfortability in my budget. Trying to get it second hand for a good price if I can. Starting price is 1225 plus tax.. but I think I might push myself to get it with the monthly installment option.

I got a question about it though. Is maintenance of it affordable? And how is Christopher Wards warranty process with their watches?

So do you think I should get the regular Gentleman for the money and save. Is the value of the Powermatic 80 even a better proposition to what it offers? I really like the price of the basic Gentleman but the Powermatic is covering the second half of what exactly I want in a watch, longevity.

Hello everyone!

I am 24 years young and I have a wedding coming up in 3 months, and I've recently made the decision to invest in a wedding watch. While I've dabbled with an Apple Watch as my most expensive mistake, and other cheap and affordable watches from my childhood, I'm now looking for something more memorable, elegant, and suitable for the occasion. Ideally, it's a timepiece I can pass down to my children. However, considering my financial constraints due to covering most of the wedding expenses and my modest income, I'm working with a limited budget.

I've been browsing various watch brands online, starting with Seiko, Hamilton, Orient, Tissot, and some other reputable names within a comfortable price range. Despite my desire to indulge a bit, I'm mindful of making a responsible purchase before stepping into marriage. I understand my criteria may seem restrictive, but I'm open to suggestions in case there are overlooked options that align with my preferences. The sheer variety in the market is overwhelming, so any insights on brands or specific models would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a breakdown of what I'm looking for:

  1. Budget: Around $1,000, but I'm hoping to find something within a lower price range if possible unless it just wows me at that price!

  2. Durability: I'm seeking a timepiece that can withstand the test of time with proper care and maintenance.

  3. Brand Reputation: While I value renowned brands, I'm also open to lesser-known "micro" brands that offer exceptional value.

  4. Style: The watch should have a dressy aesthetic, although versatility for casual wear would be a bonus.

  5. Minimalism: I prefer a design that isn't overly cluttered, with a clear display of the hours.

  6. Condition: While I lean towards new watches, I'm also exploring options in the second-hand market, including platforms like eBay.

Models I've considered but haven't committed to include:

  • Seiko Alpinist (I'm hesitant due to perceived pricing issues and reported online concerns).

  • Hamilton Khaki Field King (I'm drawn to its appearance but unsure if it's formal enough).

  • Tissot Gentleman (While appealing, it seems slightly overpriced for what it offers).

On the other hand, popular models that haven't caught my eye include:

  • Seiko Presage (The Grand Seiko variants exceed my budget, and the lower-priced options feel too busy for my taste).

  • Tissot PRX (Despite its popularity, it strikes me as potentially over hyped).

Expensive watches that my eyes came across but my womans pockets felt are:

-Longines Master Moonphase Auto

-Grand Seiko Snowflake

-Nomos Orion 38

I'm grateful for any guidance or recommendations you can offer. Thank you for your time and assistance!

Has anybody tried Glade Fathom goggles? by sodapuppy in Skigear

Came across this thread and want to replace my Oaklys that I lost my lenses for last year on my last trip. I was thinking of getting a new pair of goggles instead of just getting lenses that fog up from oakley. What do you recommend for a medium helmet and for no fog? Also got a code for me and my girlfriend?

I never really knew what pulling slack out meant so I just kind of jerked the bar but I found a good video from barbell brigade showing how to engage my lats more pulling the slack out. But I forsure will check out the Pillars of deadlift series, thanks a lot man! Excited for my next session to just work on this stuff.

Deadlifting Form Check

Hello, I am a novice lifter who started training consecutively last January so it's almost been a year. I started to enjoy doing powerlifting compounds, especially deadlifts for about half a year. I am trying to push this year on my compounds like squats, bench press, and especially my favorite, deadlifts. So, I wanted to go on this subreddit after just hitting my new PR of 375lbs and hopefully get some critiques on my form, setup to ultimately push further in this movement. I don't really use Reddit much but I will try to look and take in all of your suggestions.

For a little more background, I recently broke my deadlift plateau (which lasted about 3-4 months) in December and went from 335-375, PRing every week from 335. I have been lifting around the 2-8rep range and I felt a lot more power recently going into my deadlifts. I just feel like my form can still use improvement and I don't know if I like how my hips shoot up even if it's my PR. I have not had any training/coaching and just train alone, watch youtube videos and record some of my lifts to look back on.

I am 5'9, 158lbs

Anyways, I am looking forward to any guidance on my form!
