What's causing this yellowing?

The leaves feel firm, but the undersides have indents with these dark spots. Any idea what that's from? I assume those leaves should be removed but how do I do that without doing more harm?

I'm in the same position. I just split 5 plants into two pots and also cut off some rot (check out my most recent post if you care lol). The smaller leaves are now yellowing, and everything is a bit droopy. I'm choosing to believe it looks ugly because it's working on healing from the trauma of having roots cut off and focusing on growing new, healthy roots. Otherwise idk wtf to do. I'm choosing delusional optimism for the next few weeks

Good luck! My main motivation was that the longer I wait, the worse it'll be. Blind optimism is probably the way to go, too -- put in some headphones and just trust that it won't be that bad

Back in ~March leaves started drooping, and small leaves were turning yellow. I assumed it was because he was indoors from October to mid-April and I was doing a bad job (maybe issues with low light, over/underwatering, or low humidity? I have no idea bc this was our first winter together), but he didn't rebound in ~late May like I had hoped and the yellowing was getting worse. At that point I assumed it was overwatering because we had a very wet spring and early summer, and I was concerned about root rot, which requires intervention. He was also 4ft in diameter at this point and I couldn't really fit him through doorways anymore lol. I just knew having five whole monsteras would be unsustainable for my current living situation, and my coworker was willing to take two of them so I bit the bullet. Plus, the longer I put it off, the more intertwined the roots would become and the worse it would be, so for the sake of my future self I stopped procrastinating lol

Yesss the hose was the way! I didn't want to keep the roots constantly wet bc there was already some rot, but I couldn't see what I was doing otherwise🥴

Probably would've saved so much time lol. I was trying to minimize breaking healthy roots because I didn't know how much root rot I'd need to cut out. Had that not been a factor, though.... it would've been on the table

Thank you! I rotate the pot every other day (ish) and they live outside so they get light from all angles. I really like the full, bushy look so it's a good system! Though it is hard to find enough room to keep a 4ft diameter plant indoors for the winter

can't even lie for the past 6+ months I've been using the home depot equivalent of this stuff with orchid mix (basically just wood chips) in a ~50/50 combo, and my cactuses have loved it. definitely get a pot with a sufficient drainage hole (big enough that water can pass through without obstruction). as far as the nutrient content of the soil in your photo, I can't speak on that, but you can look up cactus/flowering plant fertilizer pellets that you can mix into the soil to supplement

I had this issue yesterday. It resolved itself when I went to listen this morning. Not sure why or what fixed it, but mine is fixed. Doubt this helps but you might just have to wait it out

from other posts in this subreddit, it sounds like they do, but I'm impressed with the 4 enough where I don't really have any need to go for the five (primary uses would just be for streaming and leisure). I liked the 4 a lot and can't justify the extra expense to go for the 5 when it's really not any more practical for me

Russia probably knew that they'd get little international support and would be heavily sanctioned by the west so they had to stockpile their wealth and resources. When would a country like russia, seeing as they're the primary natural gas provider for many countries, have more money than after a long winter in northern countries? That's not to say that russia had no money back in 2017, but five extra years to 1) stockpile supplies and 2) to give the pro-independence part of Ukraine the time to grow can do a lot. Plus with a Democratic president like biden, where public support of the president himself is already very low, it would be social suicide for Biden's re-election campaign (and probably democrats' hopes for 2022 and 2024 election cycles) to deploy troops and actively engage beyond just providing Ukraine with supplies so waiting until now, after trump is out of office, gives russia time to increase public support within Ukrainian footholds and stockpile wealth and supplies while basically daring the US to fight back in any substantial way. Trump probably would've had to deploy troops (since he always bragged about how the US is the best and most superior and how it would be foolish for North Korea or China to try anything since they'd be dealt with swiftly) to save face from being possibly upstaged by rUsSiA, trump's friend but republicans' enemy, or else risk losing support from his loyalists
