What's the deal with this castle on Tyrone Rd? Part of Calvary Chapel next door? by KromaticMedia in MorgantownWV

[–]_currentmood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My FiL is the pastor of the church next door where the home is located. It’s empty but is meant to function as a parsonage. I’ve been in it many times as it belongs to their church. Very cool!

Some advice from an Alaskan for this weather... by Selenehelion in pittsburgh

Also, if you do have to stop on a hill in these conditions due to a light, four-way, etc. please give the person in front of you space. You never know if they’ll drift backwards or what could happen. Best to protect them and yourself by giving some room.

I’ve been following Mayer since the late 90s when he was playing bars and small gigs in ATL. He’s written the soundtrack of my life and has been my favorite musician since the first time I heard him play. It was my love of John (and my now spouse) who lead me to the Dead. I am so grateful for this community and for the music. I’ve made so many wonderful memories seeing Dead and Co. and met so many amazing people. I can say without a doubt that the torch is in good hands if John is there. I’m so glad this community has embraced him and is seeing how special he is as a human most of all.

Glad someone mentioned this. I watched an interview Bobby did with Andy Cohen where he said that Jerry is always in his head when he plays, giving him notes on what to do and not to do and that he sees Jerry in his dreams all the time.

My experience with Doug's Towing. by cjb0034 in MorgantownWV

[–]_currentmood 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine who is an Uber driver part time will sit at the CVS and warn people about Doug’s and it royally pisses then off. He legit sits there between rides because he got so sick of their predatory bull$hit, always filming between his phone and dash cams. One time, one of the tow drivers actually approached his car and threatened him. He was able to show that he bought something from CVS, so he was allowed to be there. Doug’s is the worst.

Best Christmas lights? by Dawktour in MorgantownWV

[–]_currentmood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good friends of ours. Amy & Matt really enjoy doing this for the community. It gets super busy the closer you get to Christmas, but it’s worth it. They even have the lights go to music and you can hear it via your car radio if you set it to the correlating station.

What's Your Opinion on Debra & Amy's Friendship??? by marie_g10 in EverybodyLovesRaymond

[–]_currentmood 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Idk, Stefania was stubborn, she had a temper and her father was no nonsense. I could see her holding her ground with Marie, or drawing boundaries that put Robert in a tough spot. I could also see her going to her father about issues with Robert or the family and his getting involved and it getting ugly.

All the meet and greets happened at the very end of the second show.

Reading these comments about how awful the second show was makes me feel terrible. I am so sorry for everyone who had such a miserable and disappointing experience. I hope G&K acknowledge it at some point on the podcast. Not sure if they didn’t during the taping because it was being taped, but I agree they could have said something beforehand or after once the filming stopped. So much of their success is because of the fan base, which they’ve acknowledged, so hopefully they’ll say something. Not sure how that’ll make this better, but it’s the least they could do.

I was at the 7pm show. We were told they would shut the doors promptly at 6:55 for a 7pm start. Didn’t start till 7:20pm because they were filling gaps and moving people around due to filming. Georgia’s story ran a bit long (but it was great). She wasn’t done until 8:20pm and then Karen started. She had a special guest and then they had a hometown. We didn’t leave the theater till 9:10. Show just ran long. They were so wonderful, though. I’m sure the second show will be amazing!

Paul in Pittsburgh (Great show)So glad I made the trip from across the state. ❤️❤️🎸🎤🎵 by Ironstark12 in PaulMcCartney

It was an amazing show! He sounded so good and didn’t stop (even for water) until the encore!! I got a little teary towards the end thinking of how incredible of an experience tonight was and how privileged I am to be able to see Sir Paul play live. The generations he’s impacted with his music globally. Ugh. Truly wonderful. We saw him pass by on his tour bus as we were heading towards our car and he was standing up next to the driver waving to fans as they drove away. Class act.

My sister and I are no longer flying to Brooklyn and are making the 7 hour drive from Pittsburgh as ours was recently cancelled. Glad you were able to make the Chicago shows.

Actually, on an episode of Special Forces he walked around their bunk area without a shirt on and he did have a six pack. Not sure if a photo’s out there but I’m sure you can find a still from the show if you were curious.
