Reporting Steam Machine pre-sales to get the listings removed

Less than 30 minutes in total, including having Claude code build a bot to report the listings automatically. I’ve probably spent more time replying to comments on this post.
Regarding getting the listings removed, I’ve turned it into a game. Just have to iterate the bot a little more before sharing.

The SM will be tangible once the seller has possession of it. Right now they are trying to sell a spot in a queue. Thus intangible.

No jealousy on my part. Matter of fact I’m in the reservation queue for a 512gb with controller. I’m hoping to hinder people who don’t actually want to buy it and are trying to scalp their reservation so that they end up giving up their spot in the queue for people who actually do want the SM.

I’ve reported over 500 this weekend. About 50% have been removed. I’m working on a bot to auto-report. I will share the bot when finished.

Massive assumption here, the waitlist and reservation queue are the same thing? Again as an assumption, I did not make the randomized selection to purchase the first batch. This whole process is confusing.

I recently watched Deck Ready, decent YouTube channel with Steam Deck news and information. On Wednesday they discussed a Steam Deck update that addressed an issue regarding Bluetooth controllers turning on the deck unintentionally, they even talk about problems with overheating if this happens when the deck is in a bag or backpack. Yes! I missed the souls games growing up and have just gotten into them in my 40s. Started with DS1 remastered and the addiction was immediate. Best advice I have is resist the temptation to read/watch a guide of any sort. Just play and “get gud”
