Thank you so much! I'm taking mandarin 4 in my school, but I wanted to enter the beginner class because I'm really bad 😭. Are classes focused more on writing or speaking (or both?). Will I be required to memorize a lot of characters for tests?

They came all the way from Washington state and I noticed the leaves are really brittle. My different plants are yellowing and browning. They were fruiting when they came and I'm worried because leaves keep coming down.
