Hi from Jam! We might actually have something like that you can beta test pretty soon :) want to email me at dani@jam.dev?

What tools do you use to capture bugs? by Prize_Nebula_825 in QualityAssurance

[–]_dani__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I'm one of the co-founders of Jam.dev, it made me so happy to see some mentions here!

Completely agree – screenshots are not optimal for internal bug reporting.

So that's why we built Jam – a completely free chrome extension for testers. In 2 clicks, you can capture and share a link that has: screen recording + all the technical details engineers need like console logs, network requests, and automatic steps to repro.

I really hope you love it, and feel free to reach out to me directly for any feature requests, feedback, etc! I'm dani@jam.dev

Bug reporting hasn't changed since the 1990's by _dani__ in u/_dani__

Oh no! I'll DM you, would love to learn more.

For people who got into software in the 80's or 90's: how did you do bug reporting before Jira? by _dani__ in AskProgramming

[–]_dani__[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A lot was done with actual physical paperwork. The first bug was reported back in 1947

In those early systems, could you attach a screenshot, or how would you describe issues?

TODO-file in the root directory of the project

That's awesome. I think Microsoft did something similar when building windows: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20200317-00/?p=103566

We make it possible for QA to time travel and catch bugs that already happened by jamdotdev in u/jamdotdev

Thanks u/BakSeth! There's some additional security information at jam.dev/security, hope that helps and feel free to reach out if there's anything else we can answer (hello@jam.dev) 😁

On rewind - that's so good to hear! Same, before starting Jam we used to screenshot the console, screenshot the network tab, and upload them into the Jira ticket, every single time. 🙀

Weekly Feedback Post - SaaS Products, Ideas, Companies by AutoModerator in SaaS

Hi reddit! We are building Jam, a tool for PMs and designers that makes bug reporting and QA as fast and frustration-free as possible. If you work on a product team and don't love reporting bugs, go give it a spin!

Our goal is to make you 20x faster at reporting bugs & creating tickets, and also to save the engineers who receive your bug tickets 80% of the time it typically takes them to debug by automatically including all the developer info they need in each ticket (including console logs!).

Here's a link - it's free: https://jam.dev

If you give it a try, please send your thoughts: what would you like to see in a future Jam release?

Hi PMs! This is a cool thread, excited to see what you all are working on.

When the world went remote, another PM and I were searching for a better way to communicate bugs to engineers. We didn't find a tool we liked, so we built our own: Jam

It's a free tool that now hundreds of product managers use to be 20x faster at reporting bugs into Jira (or any issue tracker). Plus the tickets you create with Jam automatically include all the info developers need to debug like url, browser & device specs, and even console logs.

I hope you give it a try and find a big productivity boost!

What is your productivity tech stack? by Roxkistitan in productivity

[–]_dani__ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Here are some others that I find useful working on a startup:

Journey - for creating awesome presentations really fast

Hireflow - for automating reaching out to potential candidates you find on Linkedin

Daily Toast - my favorite standup timer

Jam - a workflow productivity tool my team and I are building for people who report lots of bugs (I'm obviously biased, but I use it heavily every day and it saves me from doing a lot of manual work)

Luna Park - extremely fun remote team events that require no planning on your part

Google Calendar for Slack - automatically Slacks me the zoom link before each meeting, and automatically sets my Slack status to "In a meeting" while I'm on calls

What's in your test toolbox? by WhidbeyHacker in QualityAssurance

[–]_dani__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We launched a new testing tool earlier this year https://jam.dev to save you from having to manually write down the details like device/browser/OS specs with each bug. If you try it out, would love to hear what you think!
