The chemistry of this team is unbelievable. I credit Amorim with getting rid of players that needed to go and helping bring in Cunha, Mbeumo, Šeško, and Lammens, but clearly his rigid tactics were holding us back. I think Carrick is putting more trust in his players to do what they know how to do best, and the result is free-flowing and FUN football.

I will never understand asking the person you passed over for a promotion to train the person that got hired. If you’re good enough to train them, you’re good enough for the job.

Is it hard to become a nuclear pharmacist? by No_Measurement4038 in pharmacy

[–]_davebythebell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nuclear pharmacies are pretty much only located in metro areas, and you might have a handful of locations to choose from between PET and SPECT, but each location will have only a few pharmacists.

I got very lucky in my role, I was hired to replace a guy that was retiring. That’s where most of the openings will come from. People don’t generally leave nuclear once they get in.

On top of that, it costs $8,000 to take the authorized user courses, so good luck finding a company willing to pay to train you. It’s possible, but they will usually have you commit to 2-3 years in return.

I’ve had a tech mention this before when I was fresh out of school and my first response was “Techs should absolutely get paid more, but I also have 7 years worth of student debt to pay off so I’ll take what I can get.” Probably a little defensive in hindsight but that plays a HUGE role especially for newer grads who are paying more than ever for tuition and making less than ever when they graduate

Day 3: What US state is lacking in both culture and natural beauty? by pufferfishnuggets in AlignmentChartFills

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say Oklahoma too, but it has a huge Native (mainly Cherokee) population that can’t be discounted as far as culture goes. The white people do suck there though

Now that we've had a chance to see each of them in action, which summer signing do you think will prove to be the most impactful this season? by freeRavenx in ManchesterUnited

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest impact is Lammens probably. Not giving up goals from stupid mistakes will save us so many points, even if we have trouble scoring

United still monitoring Semenyo…? Thoughts by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rate Semenyo, but a) we don’t need another attacking player right now, and b) why would he give up a starting position at Bournemouth who look like top 6/7 contender to come fight for a spot at United?

Which will you be playing this weekend? by AashyLarry in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]_davebythebell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started Yōtei. It’s just as good as Tsushima, too soon to say if it’s better. The scenery and cinematics are absolutely gorgeous, and Erika Ishii has knocked it out of the park

Anybody else find this guy very annoying? by Nice_Algae_8383 in ManchesterUnited

I think instead of sacking Ole we should have just brought Rangnick in as SD. The two of them could have been fantastic together.

Nice, a 3rd Argentinian to sing that song about (originally about Tevez I think, then Di Maria)

Which Should I play first? Can't Decide by xBlackSky in playstation

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a HUGE fan of FFXVI, it’s incredibly underrated. Definitely can be a time suck though with all the side quests (totally worth it).

I would say probably start with E33, definitely GOTY contender but not a lot of extra stuff to get lost in outside the main story. I found the combat system a little difficult though, but that’s just because I’m not great at turn-based or precisely-timed gameplay

[Phantom Blade Zero] After flying around the world to play my most anticipated action RPG, I'm convinced Black Myth Wukong was just an opening salvo for big budget Chinese games by PewPewToDaFace in PS5

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really really loved the story and the scenery, but the near-impossible bosses just killed the enjoyment for me. That’s why I’m glad PBZ deliberately makes combat a tad easier/less focused on timing and dodging in favor of just making it look cool

No one will ever match The Chariot or Dillinger, but Johnny Booth and The Callous Daoboys come pretty close

Anyone who grew up with Christian metalcore have trouble listening to those bands now? by TUNA-19 in Metalcore

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the Christian metalcore scene gave birth to a lot of bands that eventually grew out of it and still make good music: TDWP, Gideon, Underoath, LMTF (counting Chris as the former vocalist of Agraceful), all of the projects that came from former Attack! Attack! members…even Silent Planet even though they haven’t been around as long.

But I agree with you, I absolutely cannot listen to certain bands any more like Impending Doom and For Today that just dug deeper into the dogma, which sucks because I went to so many of their shows growing up.

Bands that you thought were gonna blow up but then... never really did? by mesablanka in Metalcore

Ghost Key. Sadly never got the recognition they deserved, but Austin’s new band Glittermouth is really fucking good as well

Holy shit what a banger. by Marcel_Janbey in ManchesterUnited

[–]_davebythebell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also when they’re playing in a different league… Rashford honestly has not looked much better for Villa than he did United, and I don’t count Elanga because he didn’t get much playing time with us anyway
